Revealing Their Hearts

Our job is writing prompts that inspire the reader to reveal why
they love the people they love. To cause them to focus deeply, be
genuine, and show their heart and innermost thoughts about a friend or
family member. We want to get them to open up about some very
intimate things, and write it down in our book.

The easiest way to get into the mindset for this task is to ask ourselves:
Why do I love the people that I do? What is the love based on? What
qualities do they have that I love and admire? What's something unique
that they've done for me? How did they change my life? What was the
start of the relationship?

And we can even go deeper: What have they forgiven me for? What
have I forgiven them for? What are their bad qualities that I overlook?
What have they done for me that no one else would? What have I done
for them that I never thought I would do for anyone? Would I put my
life on the line for them? Would they risk their life to rescue me?

These are deep questions! When you put yourself in this state of mind,
it becomes easy to write these prompts. But remember, we don't want
to push someone. We want to be open-minded, and ask open-ended
questions. We are like an innocent child who's curious about emotional
connection.

And technology makes this much easier for us. We use a Positive

Positive Affirmation Generator

This affirmation is a simple one, but it really gets at the core of a good
relationship. And this prompt directly inspires the reader to focus on
exactly how their loved one shows that they care. So let's tweak it a
little bit, and change it so that it becomes open ended. How about:

You always take the time to show me that you care by...

This is a very good prompt because it inspires the reader to dig deeper
than usual. REMEMBER: One of the complaints about the original book
was that it was too shallow. So we want to be BETTER than the original;
with more emotion, more depth, more impact. We want people to
cherish our book for a lifetime.

But we can also talk about the brutality of life, the really tough times,
the times when you had your head underwater and didn't think you
were coming back up. Of course, we are speaking of the positive side of
those challenges. We are speaking of overcoming those obstacles, we
are speaking of victory. Check this out:

This affirmation is a little confused, a little disorganized. But the core of
it is very good. It is referring to the rough times in life. It is
acknowledging that life is not all sugar and roses. But surviving the
brutal times is what makes a person who they are. So let's acknowledge
the bad times too:

I see your battle scars and I admire you because...

We are directly saying that our loved one has gone through hell, and
that they are a survivor. Those battles made them who they are.
Surviving the impossible has made them unique. We understand that,
we respect that, and we tell them so. This is definitely not a lightweight
prompt!

But what about a person's legacy? That's a very big question. Will they
leave the world having made it a better place? Will they have a positive
impact on the lives of others? Were they generous, were they giving,
were they loving? Check out this affirmation:

So let's focus on our loved one: How do they interact with other people?
Do they pick people back up when they fall? Does their heart break for
those who can't help themselves? Have they put themselves on the line
to rescue another another human being? And here is our prompt:

You've already made the world a better place because you...

How would you like someone to say those words to you?! I think it
would be a moment that most people would never forget. To be truly
acknowledged for who you really are is a very important thing, and it
doesn't happen often in life.

And the strange thing is, we live in an era that is the opposite of that.
We live in the Social Media Era where people can be quite thoughtless
and abusive. Where people make no effort to understand someone, but
instead coldly dismiss them.

If you want a simple way to keep your focus and create these prompts,
I've got just the thing for you. This is a moment from a film that I saw
thirty years ago, and I still haven't forgotten it. This gets directly to the
core of why we are making these prompts:

Here's your real superpower: Your secret weapon is being able to look
deeply and honestly at WHY you love the people you do. To really x-ray
a relationship and be RAW about it. Then you'll be able to write amazing
prompts that people never forget. In fact, this will help you in all the
content you create.

So how raw can we get? We have to be honest, open, genuine, brave.

The best way to get on track is to do a simple exercise. Focus on your
loved ones and really take a moment to reveal the heart and soul of the
relationship. Just ask yourself these four simple questions:

Why do you love your mom?

I love my mom because she passed her love to me. She made me truly
human.

Why do you love your dad?

I love my dad because he was horribly abused when he was a little boy.
But he swore he would never abuse us, and he never did.

Why do you love your wife?

I love my wife because she has the biggest, purest heart I've ever
encountered. I've never met anyone else like her.

Why do you love your best friend?

I love my best friend because he treated me with dignity, while I was

being bullied by everyone around me.

Is that raw enough for you? You are now officially able to write quality
prompts that will inspire people to pour their hearts out and write it
down in the book that we create. You can use pretty much any source
for affirmations, but now you are able to tweak the words so that they
become exactly the prompt that people need to hear.

There are plenty of resources for positive affirmations. All you need to
do is tweak them slightly and turn them into a prompt. Honestly, there
are some real gems in these collections. You just have to go through
them and find the gold. And, as always, you can create your prompts

Left-Hand Page Images: You remember that on the left-hand pages

we have our word-cloud images. The right-hand pages will contain our
prompts. The word-cloud graphics are beautiful, and they come in
multiple shapes; but we can add even more power to our book. Take a

We can put images of friendship and togetherness on our left-hand
pages. These images are powerful and beautiful, and they are right in
line with the themes of our book. These images make our prompts have
a lot more impact. And these images are absolutely free for commercial
use:

You can use all images for free, even for commercial use. All images are
completely royalty free and licensed under the Pexels License. Use them
for any project you want. This includes blogs, websites, apps, art or
other commercial use cases.

Legal Simplicity

The quality of free stock images just keeps going up and up. And the
amount of images is overwhelming. Of course, you need to search
through the images to find the gold. But that gold is definitely there!

My Thoughts on Black and White: As you already know, printing our

book in black and white makes it far more profitable for us. Our profits
go from barely feasible, to actually quite generous royalties with the
simple change to black and white.

I'm starting to think that black and white images actually look better
than color for this type of book. Black and white somehow looks more
genuine, more honest, more raw. Take a look at this:

And these images definitely fit the theme of our prompts: Genuine, raw,
honest, heartfelt, real. I honestly believe that black and white images
can have more impact that color images. And be more memorable.

By the way, you can mix these black and white photos with your word-
cloud images for maximum impact. Some left-hand pages will be word-
cloud images, and some will be black and white photos. This way we
give our book a lot more impact.
