Cleanliron
The apron

My househelp cleans the house and arranges the tables, chairs, etc.
She is very kind and works sincerely. In this English project I got a
idea to make something for my househelp.

I thought for a quite while, first I thought of making gloves, but

then my mother had already brought her a pair of glove. Then I got
the thought of making an apron.

This ‘Cleanliron’ can be used in different ways:

It can be used when she is moping, as her saree gets wets usually
but if she wears the apron, the water won’t touch her saree so it will
remain dry.

It can be used to protect her saree from dust and dirt.

She cooks in some other houses so it can also be used as an actual

apron, and can be used for cooking.
 Process:

I collected different fabric pieces and selected a good one, which

didn’t have a tear.

I took an apron stencil and drew it on the fabric.

Then I cut along the lines.

And made the apron without the adjusting strip of cloth.

Then I cut a strip of cloth and stitched it to the apron.

Then the apron was ready and then, I asked my mother to try it.

How they felt when I gave it as a gift:

She felt that it was a great gift. Then I thought she was lying, but
from then she started wearing it on a daily basis. Every day from
then on her dress never got wet and dirty. She appreciating me for
and thanked me for it. She even didn’t feel uncomfortable with it.
She even was surprised to know that I made it for her and was
extremely happy with me. She not only wore it to make me happy as,
she even wore it to the others houses.

I would like to convey my thanks of gratitude to my English teacher
Ms. Aakshi ma'am as well as our school principal Ms. Sneha Rai
who gave me the excellent opportunity to do this wonderful project
on the topic Repurpose and reuse, which also helped me in doing a
lot of Research and I came to know how to do so many new things.

I am really thankful to them. Secondly, I would also like to thank

my parents and friends who helped me in finishing this project. Just
because of them I was able to make my project.

I am making this project not only for marks but to also to improve
my knowledge.
