Background: Gout Arthritis or gout is a metabolic disease that usually attacks

elderly men and menopausal women. An unhealthy diet can be a factor in causing
a person to develop gout. Objective : The aim of writing this final scientific work
is to provide an overview of providing family nursing care to patients with Gouty
Arthritis. Method: The approach used in solving nursing problems with Gouty
Arthritis is by using a comprehensive nursing process. Based on the assessment, it
was found that family health management was ineffective and peripheral
perfusion was ineffective. Five TUK nursing interventions , using ergonomic
exercises. Results : Ergonomic exercises given to families of patients suffering
from Gouty Arthritis showed that there was a reduction in pain levels.
Conclusions and Recommendations: This ergonomic exercise intervention can
reduce pain levels. The recommendation from the results of this scientific work is
that ergonomic exercise be used as therapy to treat gout pain.
