How’s death gives meaning to your life?

“every step is our step to the grave”
If there is life the word death is attach. According to Wikipedia, death is the irreversible
cessation of all biological functions that sustain an organism. On my own understanding if your
brain and heart stop functioning sometimes the person is dead. The most causes of death are
diseases or sometimes illness. To the Filipinos, death is a painful event especially for those who
family experiencing someone who died, they mourn because they will no longer see the person
who died, but according to bible death is the only passage toward in everlasting life. That is not
the focus of this reflection actually the focus of this paper is death according to Marcel and
how’s death gives meaning to my life. D. E. A. T. H. five letters but hard to explain because I do
not experience it but according to all the books that I read I will explain it using my own
knowledge based on the idea I have read. Biologically and medically the meaning and reality of
human death, as that of all animals, is clear the cessation of all the functions and faculties of the
organs of the body, especially the heart and the brain. This entails, of course, the cessation of
consciousness. Yet, this definition tells us nothing about why only the human species, latecomers
in the universe, have always worshiped their gods, buried their dead with elaborate ritual, and
held various beliefs about immortality.1
Life is to short now you are in happiness later you are sad. In this generation time is fast
as we focus our self in one thing, we are not aware of time we value more the things that we
should not value, like different types of technology, specially cellphone on social media we are
no longer aware of our environment. The value of life is gone when we put our lives in things
that will destroy us, what if these things disappear, we don't have anything because we made
those things our lives, for example your cellphone is just broken, then in some reason we
mourned. Is that a person? What a mindset of this generation. We don't appreciate life anymore,
then when the time comes when we are at the end of our life that's the time when we will be
aware of the value of life. Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies
inside us while we live. According Norman Cousins. The more you do what is not good in the
Lord the more you kill your inner self and that is the worst saddest part of your life. An
awareness of death gives greater meaning to our lives. Awakening to death’s reality prompts us
to seek the eternal and motivates us to make the most of each moment. The idea is that since
those things you value in life must end, you value them much more. If you truly lived forever,
there would never be the possibility of losing very much. There could never be a “love of your
life”. There would never be any sense in looking at anything as your “first” or “last”.
This is so central to our condition that it’s difficult for us to even imagine why. To
understand it, you have to understand eternity. If you really lived for eternity, there wouldn’t
ever be any sense of urgency related to anything. There would never be anything that could
impose on your ability to simply replace, or relive, whatever you wanted. No threat of loss, no
appreciation

According to Marcel, most of the philosophical tradition errs in viewing evil in general
and death in particular as problems to be solved. Marcel views death and bereavement to be
concrete and intensely personal encounters with evil, thus falling into the category of mystery
rather than problem.2 So death will remain a mystery for people, because we really don't know
why we die and we shouldn't think of it as a problem.
Death for me is the time when you open the awareness of what the meaning of life really
is. Death can also be my source of life and sometimes it triggers your inner conscience to be
good or like it can be the source of conversion of the sinner. As we continue to procrastinate,
telling ourselves, I’ll challenge myself harder someday or I'll make a bigger effort after I've done
it, our lives slip by and, before we know it, we face death when nothing is without accumulating
any deep inner treasure of life. Many people live this way. When the last moment comes, it will
be too late for repentance. An awareness of death gives greater meaning to our lives. Awakening
to death’s reality prompts us to seek the eternal and motivates us to make the most of each
moment. As far as my understanding goes on some people are of death. The idea is that since
those things you value in life must end, you value them much more. If you truly lived forever,
there would never be the possibility of losing very much but unfortunately all life will be having
an ending. When a free man dies, he loses the pleasure of life so that is why if you are alive do
the pleasure that can gives you a meaningful life. Death is the freedom a slave knows when you
enslave yourself to things like joy and evil and a life full of envy and mockery of other people,
you must change because for me death is the only thing that will free you from that kind of work,
especially if the voice of God the conscience and lost that time when you had to die.
Recognizing Death helps people spend time rather than kill it. if you are aware of what
death really is, that's where your awareness comes in. It will work better if I'm good at myself
because you'll know that life is very short and then you'll just waste it on things you don't like
and you might be ruined. Then value your life and don't waste it on useless things, learn the
value of life when you are on the verge of death. The more you don’t value life the more death
will come to you.
