STUDENT PORTFOLIO IN WORK IMMERSION

Description
A student’s portfolio is a purposeful of collection of students work that exhibits the student’s effort,
progress, and achievements in one or more areas. The collection must include student’s participation in
selecting contents and the ideas of the students.
According to Ron Dietel et al (1993). Portfolios are collections of student work representing a selection
of performance. Portfolios in classrooms today are derived from the visual and performing arts tradition
in which they serve to showcase artists' accomplishments and personally favored works. A portfolio may
be a folder containing a student's best pieces and the student's evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses
of the pieces. It may also contain one or more works-in-progress that illustrate the creation of a product,
such as an essay, evolving through various stages of conception, drafting, and revision.

Letter to the reader

Dear reader
We made this portfolio to show what we have learned in every subject. And we want this portfolio to show
not only what we have learned but to show how we collaboratively work with others. With the help of my group
mates, we put together ideas to create a creative portfolio. Besides, this portfolio containing student’s best pieces and
the student's evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the pieces. It may also contain one or more works-in-
progress that illustrate the creation of a product, such as an essay, evolving through various stages of conception,
drafting, and revision.
Students have assignments in notebooks and folders for years, so what's so new and exciting about portfolios
capitalize on students' natural tendency to save work and become an effective way to get them to take a second look
and think about how they could improve future work. As any teacher or student can confirm, this method is a clear
departure from the old write, hand in, and forget mentality, where first drafts were considered final products.

Acknowledgements
We would like to express our special thanks of gratitude to my teacher Charito Tingson as well as our principal
Sr. Yolanda L, Arceo, OP who gave us the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project on the topic Student Portfolio
in Work Immersion, which also helped me in doing a lot of Research and we came to know about so many new things
we really thankful to them.
Secondly, we would also like to thank our parents and friends who helped us a lot in finalizing this project within the
limited time frame.

Origin of Elements
Approximately 73% of the mass of the visible universe is in the form of hydrogen.
The low-mass elements, hydrogen and helium, were produced in the hot, dense
conditions of the birth of the universe itself. ... The birth, life, and death of a star is
described in terms of nuclear reactions.

Activity 1,1,4: Origins of Elements

1 What was the process of the formation of lighter elements?
Nucleosynthesis is the process that creates new atomic from preexisting nucleus, which is the proton
and neutrons
2 Is this lesson interesting to you?
This lesson is very interesting because I learned a lot and one of the reasons why this lesson is
interesting it’s because it studies the biological or life science
3 Are you satisfied knowing the origins of the elements?
Yes, because I gain a new knowledge about how elements produced.

What is the most interesting thing in the universe?

 The moon is drifting away from Earth.
 Jupiter's red spot is shrinking.
 The first ever black hole photographed is 3 million times

Community Engagement
Community Engagement is the process of working collaboratively with and through
groups of people affiliated by geographic proximity, special interest, or similar
situations to address issues affecting the well-being of those people It is a powerful
vehicle for bringing about environmental and behavioral changes that will improve
the health of the community and its members It often involves partnerships and
coalitions that help mobilize resources and influence systems, change relationships
among partners, and serve as catalysts for changing policies, programs, and
practices.

What makes a good community?

A good community would ideally have a healthy mix of people from

different religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, so that the young
people grow up to accept difference and display tolerance and respect at
all times.

A good community will have empowered people who have the best
interests of everyone at heart, and who are selfless in pushing for
improved community facilities and public services for their area.

A good community will be a happy place where children are collectively

looked after and older people are valued for their leadership potential.

How Do I Describe My Community?

A community is a group of people who share something. That something may be religion,
culture, government or any combination of the three. Therefore, in order to describe a
community, it is first necessary to define the community.
To communicate a sense of a community in which one lives, it would be effective to describe
the government structure, layout, civic organizations, general aesthetics, educational system
and what types of people live there. It might also be effective to elaborate on the shared
cultural values of the people living in the community and what draws them to live amongst
one another. Members of some communities don't actually live-in proximity to each other at
all. Instead, they are brought together by some commonality, such as a religion or hobby. In a
religious community, religious tenets, rituals and traditions are keys to a good description.

What are some examples of community?

Community, also called biological community, in biology,

an interacting group of various species in a common
location. For example, a forest of trees and undergrowth
plants, inhabited by animals and rooted in soil containing
bacteria and fungi, constitutes a biological community.
Philippine Politics and Governance
If you could pass a law, what law would it be?

If I would be given a chance to make a law on environment protection, it

would be an act of environmental protection, and it features illegal logging,
burning plastics/chemicals and smoking because it causes pollution to us.
The sanction for those who will violate this law is to go to prison for a
couple of years (maybe 10 years) and after that they will plant a tree if
he/she/they violate illegal logging.

LERU OF AWL – RULE OF LAW

accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, and which are consistent with
international human rights norms

GROVEANCE – GOVERNANCE

morning in nagrebcan summary
He saw his brother Ambo eating a banana without peeling it first. He told his brother to peel it first
before eating but his brother just ignored him telling him that it wasn’t his banana and he wasn’t the
one eating it. he did not listen.
Conflict
As he finished eating, he started playing with the four puppies, but after a while he got bored but
when he saw Baldo holding the other one he wants to take it from his brother because he wants to
play with it. Baldo refused but Ambo did not give up, this resulted in their fight.
Climax
During their fight Ambo was accidentally bitten by the puppy on his hand and at that time their father
Tang Ciaco arrived. They were both very terrified to see their father because they know what will
happen to them. Tang Ciaco saw the puppy snarling with its hairs standing, he thought that it was mad
so he went to the kitchen and took a piece of firewood. He beat the poor puppy and it was flown to
the air, until blood ooze out from its mouth, he did not stop until it was fully dead, he then threw the
corpse on the cornfields.
The lesson is that every morning is a brand-new day to keep fighting and that family is very essential.
Perhaps, Nana Elang still has hope that her husband will change eventually. Either way you look at the
father's beating, you can see that it is irrational and unnecessary, he should at least see if his child is
hurt and just discipline them in a proper way. Anger cannot solve anything unless it is used
productively, he could have used his energy to help Ambo instead of killing the puppy. Being a father is
easy, you can be a father by having a child, but being a family man isn't. Tang Ciako should teach his
children in a clear way and should be treated as his sons and not just his property.
