1.

Take the remote session of the database server


And go to the directory where the agent package is copied

2. The agent file format will be .tar.gz , gunzip the file using the command gunzip filename
Note: (here filename is Imperva-ragent-RHEL-v4-kSMP-pi386-b12.0.0.1084.tar.gz)
3. Now the file in .tar format extract form tar format using a command tar –xvf filename

Note: (here filename is Imperva-ragent-RHEL-v4-kSMP-pi386-b12.0.0.1084.tar)

4. After successful extraction of file, .bsx file will be generated run that file using command
./Imperva-ragent-<version>.bsx -u
Eg: ./Imperva-ragent-RHEL-v4-kSMP-pi386-b12.0.0.1084.bsx -u
The default directory of agent installation is opt/imperva
5. After that the Remote agent Initial Configuration wizard will be displayed

6. Select the 1.Qucik configuration option


7. Should DB traffic be monitored: true
8. Enter the name of the Agent that will be displayed on GUI of management in the agent section
root@superveda:/tmp
9. Enter the gateway management listener IP on the agent will communicate to the gateway.
10. If both local & network database activity is to monitor enter both option

11. Enter the gateway login password , so that the agent get registered with the gateway.
12. Here the Agent installation part is over, press 1 to start the remote agent.

13. As soon as the agent installation part is over.


The installer wizard will be displayed
14. Press ‘y’ for using the same configuration for installer as was for agent

15. Specify the location of installer path as /opt/imperva


16. Specify the size of installer folder size 100 MB

Press ‘y’ to start the installer.
