1. Business Analysis covers a very broad range of subject areas and skills.
TheFoundation Certificate in Business Analysis expects us to understand this
broadrange and will test our understanding of a wide range of subject areas.2. The
syllabus (v3.3) is arranged as follows and the course you are about toundertake will

to entry into the course, delegateswho have either an IT background, perhaps in
systems design & development, orhave a basic understanding of the process
management environment will be atsignificant advantage.4. Most courses will have
a mix of experienced and less-experienced managers,and similarly IT staff with more
or less experience of the Business Analysisenvironment. This provides a forum
for lively debate and learning.5. To assist understanding,
BEFORE
the course commences QA expectsall delegates to have read the pre-course reading
document which is anextract from the BCS text
book “Business Analysis” Second Edition edited by
Debra Paul, Donald Yeates and James Cadle. The book will be given to youon day 1
of the course.

THE FOUNDATION EXAMINATION
40 Multiple choice format questions. This is a one hour, "closed-book"examination
where you need to score 26 marks or more to pass. TheFoundation examination will
be on the afternoon of Day 3 and your paper willbe independently invigilated and
marked by BCS.
BCS ACCREDITED TRAINING PROVIDER
QA as an Accredited Training Provider is responsible for design and creation ofthe
Business Analysis courseware and the delivery of the training, and althoughQA
administer the examinations, all questions will have been approved by BCS.
