 Jeremiah 1:1-10

¹The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of
Benjamin. ² The word of the Lord came to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Jorsiah
son of Amon king of Judah. ³And through the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of
Judah, down to the fifth month of the eleventh year of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah,
when the people of Jerusalem went into exile.
The Call of Jeremiah
⁴ The word of the lord came to me saying, ⁵ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
⁶ “Alas, sovereign Lord”, I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
⁷ But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ' I am too young’. You must go to everyone I send
you to and say whatever I command you. ⁸ Do not be afraid to them, for I am with you and
will rescue you”, declares the Lord.
⁹ Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “ I have put
my words in your mouth. ¹⁰ See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot
and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant”

- The verse in the bible that we choose that related to the life of Mother Ignacia is
Jeremiah 1: 1-10. In there we read how God calls a person and waits for the man
or woman to rise up in their calling. Just like the story of Mother Ignacia, she
sought religious counsel from Father Pablo Clain and later on Mother Ignacia
courageously and faithfully responded to God’s call. Both of Jeremiah and
Mother Ignacia they both live the life that God wants for them even though they
are afraid, they still respond to God’s call because they know that God will
always be there for them and God’s plan is better than their plan for their life.
When the challenge come to our lives and feeling doubt, fear. Nevertheless, faith
call us that God always on our side and we must trust him because he has a
purpose and plan why he takes you in a middle of darkness. All of difficulty in our
life there’s always a wisdom behind of it. Believing God in our darkness moment
it’s about giving us strength, guidance to survive in our darkness walk. Walking
with god through our thunder moment it’s providing us a wisdom. Trusting with
him it’s a reminder to us that he’s a provider and the challenges that we may a
take is a connection with our faith. Knowing that we are not alone for every steps
that we take in our life, and God is good planner.
