Contactless debit card Readers
1 Magnetic Stripe readers;
Magnetic stripe readers are used to read information on the
magnetic stripe such as Account number, Sort code, Expiry date
& Start date.
Uses:
On credit/debit cards for use at ATMS or EFTPOS.
Security devices to allow entry to hotel rooms or buildings.

Advantages:
Fast data entry.
Error free.
Secure.
Not affected by water, oil or moisture.
Disadvantages:
If it gets damaged the data is lost.
Does not work at a distance.
Not human readable.
2 Contactless debit/credit card readers
Contactless debit/card readers allow customers to pay for items
worth up to a certain amount of money without entering their pin.
Advantages=
Faster transactions.
No typing errors.
Disadvantages=
More expensive than credit/debit cards.
Theft.

Chip and pin readers are used at EFTPOS terminal.
Uses=
used at supermarkets.
Advantages;
More secure system.
More robust system.
Disadvantages;
