THE LEGEND OF “PUTRI HIJAU”

In ancient times there was a kingdom in North Sumatra known as the Deli Kingdom. At
that time, the Deli Kingdom was led by a king named Suleman. King Solomon had three
children. The first child was named Mambang Yazid. Their second child was named Putri
Hijau. Meanwhile, his third child was named Mambang Khayali. Putri Hijau is known to be
very beautiful. News about her beauty has spread widely. Even if he showers, the
reflection is reflected in all directions, so the sky turns green. Parents, relatives, and also
the people of the Deli kingdom really love the green princess. This continued after the
death of King Sulaiman who was replaced by Mambang Yazid.
At that time, not far from the Deli kingdom there was the Aceh kingdom which was ruled
by Sultan Ali Mukhayasyah. The Kingdom of Aceh is located to the north of the Deli
Kingdom which was led by Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah
SCENE 1:
One day Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah was resting in his palace, he saw a greenish sky to the
south. His Majesty was very amazed to see
such a beautiful brilliant green light. His Majesty Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah asked his guards.
King of Aceh: "What light can be seen in the southern sky? I have never seen such beautiful
light."
Guard: "My goodness, , We often saw that light, butwe don't know what it is"
King of Aceh: "Try calling the scholars. Maybe they know what the green light is.”
Guard: "Yes Sir"
SCENE 2:
The guards also summoned royal advisors, scholars and clergy to answer the curiosity of
Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah. They all faced the king.
Scholar 2: "Did you call us?"
King Aceh: "Yes. Do you know what the light in the southern sky is?”

the Deli kingdom. Her name is Putri Hijau. That light is radiance
a beauty that is difficult for any woman to match. Her body is beautiful, her heart is
beautiful. Everything about him is beautiful."

fast. Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah wanted to make Putri Hijau his queen. Sultan Ali is in love
with a beautiful princess he has never met. The Sultan of Aceh wanted to immediately
make the green princess his wife.

King of Aceh: "I want to make Princess Hijau my queen. Bring the most expensive and
hardest to find offerings in the universe. Dedicated to Putri Hijau and her family. Tell me, I
have good intentions to make Putri Hijau my Empress. Leave as soon as possible. Convey it
properly to Putri Hijau."

Mambang Khayali.

king, Sultan Ali Mukhayatsyah. He had good intentions to make Putri Hijau his queen. How is

Mambang Khayali: "I am not a King who wants to follow my own wishes. "I have to ask Putri
Hijau first, please wait while you enjoy the food we have prepared."

SCENE 5:
Mambang Khayali also came to Putri Hijau who was in their palace garden. Carefully,
Mambang Khayali conveyed the intentions of the King of Aceh.
Mambang Khayali: "Adinda certainly knew about the arrival of the Aceh Kingdom envoy. Of

Aceh. Arriving in Aceh, the Minister went straight to the King. Without exaggerating,
without reducing, all of Mambang Khayali's words.

Minister: "Sorry sire, Putri Hijau rejected your proposal."

King of Aceh: "What is this!"

in the Deli Tua stronghold and the Kingdom of Aceh. The battle, which had been going on for
days, was carried out by shooting each other. Arrows flew and fell like raindrops.

Aceh Soldiers: "ATTACK!"

Acehnese soldiers could not penetrate the Deli Tua defense fort which used bamboo groves.
As a result, the Kingdom of Aceh remained outside. Can't get in at all. Even though food is
running out. The King of Aceh thought hard about finding a way to penetrate the fortress.
Finally the King of Aceh got an idea. He ordered his soldiers to fill the barrel of the cannon
with gold and then fire it at the Deli Tua defense fort. This tactic worked. In accordance with

their defense area.
Seeing the barrier wide open, the Acehnese troops poured into the city of Deli. They also
shot arrows. And throwing explosives. There were many victims on Deli's side. When the
Acehnese troops entered the Deli palace, the fighting became even more intense.
Explosions rang out from both sides. All the people took part in this war, not forced, but
because they loved their homeland. They were willing to die for the glory of their country.

SCENE 8
Putri Hijau : "We bend the knee to the enemy?"
Mambang Khayali: “No. We will not bend the knee. We will continue to fight in various
ways,"
Mambang Yazid: "Yes, we must not give up. Have you forgotten? I have the power to change
my body into any form. I will turn my body into a cannon.”
Mambang Khayali : :"Are you sure? Will you be okay?"
Mambang Yazid: "Just believe, Kanda"

The three of them held each other's hands. Tears seemed to roll down Putri Hijau's cheeks.
The faces of my father and mother came back to my mind, Mambang Khayali felt Putri
Hijau's sadness.

Mambang Khayali : "Don't be sad, Dinda. Kanda will continue to guard as your father
ordered. Listen carefully to Kanda's message. If the King of Aceh captures Adinda, ask him

Mambang Yazid transformed into a cannon who continuously fired at Acehnese soldiers.
Acehnese soldiers fell. But their numbers are very large. The cannon's power increasingly
ran out and eroded until finally the barrel broke, flying violently into the air.

SCENE 9:
Only Putri Hijau remained in the palace room trying to hold back her tears. At that time, the
King of Aceh entered. He was stunned to see the beauty of Putri Hijau. Sadness even adds to
Putri Hijau's appeal. There was a strong pounding in the King of Aceh's chest. What he
imagined was now before his eyes. The beauty of the Green Princess was more than he had
imagined. The King of Aceh seemed enchanted by the beauty of Putri Hijau. Putri Hijau saw
the fascination of the King of Aceh towards her. At that time he also conveyed a request in
accordance with Mambang Khayali's message.

Putri Hijau: "I will give my body and heart to Mr. King as long as my request is granted,"
King of Aceh (Sultan Ali): "Whatever can make Dinda happy. Just name it,"

King of Aceh (Sultan Ali): "Okay. "Kanda, prepare it immediately,"

Aceh's ship.

SCENE 10:
Without realizing it, the King of Aceh's entourage had arrived at the coast of the Aceh
kingdom. People gathered on the beach to welcome the King's return. The cannon was fired
as a sign of respect for the King's victory and gallantry. At that moment, Putri Hijau knocked
on the wall of the glass coffin. He wants to submit a second application.
The King of Aceh also came to him

King of Aceh: "Name your second wish. And this should be the last request."
Putri Hijau: "Order all the people of Aceh to throw an egg and a handful of rice into the sea.
King of Aceh: "Okay. Everything will be fulfilled. And there will be no more requests

Putri Hijau's request was not difficult to fulfill. In a short time, the message had reached the
people of Aceh. So every person threw eggs and a handful of rice into the sea. The water on
the beach became white.

Putri Hijau tried to stay conscious. While crying, she shouted

Putri Hijau : "O Big Brother Mambang Khayali, King Nan Sakti, Holder of the Most Tested
Promises, come. Pick up Adinda. If Big Brother doesn't come, it would be better for Adinda
to perish!"
A few moments later, it started raining. The wind is getting stronger. The storm is coming.
From within the ocean, a giant dragon shot out. Its tail crushed the Acehnese ships. Terrified
screams blended into the roar of the storm

Putri Hijau closed her eyes, surrendering herself completely to the Determiner of Fate. He
knew that the imaginary Mambang had come to pick him up. He felt that the imaginary
Mambang had become a dragon that was destroying ships.

At the bottom of this ocean, Putri Hijau came out of her glass coffin. Suddenly the Princess
was in a palace at the bottom of the ocean. At that time, the missing dragon was replaced
by the imaginary Mambang.
