SNACKS

Crispy Chickpeas

Crispy chickpeas are a great source of protein and fiber, and deliver a delicious crunch that many kids love! Chickpeas naturally
include a variety of nutrients including folate, iron, manganese, and copper. For kids that have a sensory preference for
“crunchy”, this is a great snack to try to increase their nutrient intake. Since one serving of this recipe contains 6 grams of fiber,
this is a great meal for kids struggling with constipation.

The great thing about this recipe is that it is highly customizable! You can add a variety of spices including smoked paprika, chili
powder, curry powder, turmeric, etc. that appeal to your child’s sensory preferences and nutritional needs.

INGREDIENTS

○ If cooking from scratch, use 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas
