This section of the course is designed to help you prepare for the Scrum.org Professional Scrum Master 1
(PSM 1) exam which is based on the Scrum Guide (2020).

How do I take the exam?

1. Anyone can take this exam, by paying a USD$150 exam fee.

2. The exam is conducted online. You can take the exam here when you're ready!!

3. There are NO pre-requisites for registering. You do not need to attend any courses.

4. All Scrum.org exams are in the English language only!

5. Once you pass, your certification is valid for your lifetime i.e. no renewal needed.

Why Scrum.org PSM1 Certification?

It is the most cost-effective and best-recognized certification available.

What about the CSM certification?

While this course will give you a thorough understanding of the Scrum Framework, it WILL NOT allow you
to take the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from scrumalliance.org. The CSM certification
requires you to pay for an in-person, 2 day CSM course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer.

What are some alternate certifications?

ASF, covers more generic aspects of Agile besides Scrum, a little more expensive, easier to pass,
covers practices and techniques

PMI-ACP, covers more generic aspects of Agile besides Scrum, far more expensive

AgilePM, focused on the DSDM methodology instead of Scrum, more expensive

PRINCE2 Agile, covers more generic aspects of Agile besides Scrum, more expensive
