Friendships

They say true friends are hard to find, and I firmly believe this is true. I have had

friendships that have proved to be toxic and hurtful. I have also met what I consider to be true

friends. These are valuable and require honesty, communication, and time.

A quick way to destroy any friendship is to lie. Lies cause distrust and without trust there

can be no true friendship. Once the truth comes to light,it leads to anger, constant suspicion, and

confusion, all of these chip away at the friendship. A true friend will tell you the truth, even if it

hurts, because honesty is always the best policy.

Communication is key in any friendship. Friends, family, ect must communicate in order

to maintain the bonds necessary to keep relationships strong. Without these bonds friendships

weaken, distance grows and people lose sight of the bond they had. Therefore, friends are not

what they once were.

Lastly, time is something you cannot get back. Time is likely the most valuable gift you

have in any friendship or relationships. Time cannot be recouped if you do not spend time with

those in whom you are invested, you lose opportunities to create memories, strengthen ties, and

stay close to those who matter most.

Friendships are important, essential, and at times life changing. True friends are always
there, even if not physically. These friendships are bound by honesty, communication, and time.

Once these bonds are created you are blessed by friends that will be that way for a lifetime.
