1. Explain how Mary becomes an advent figure and advent model for the Church.

- A clear understanding of an appreciation for his presence, and consequently the need to
prepare our hearts for the power of such an event in our lives today, is one crucial gift of
faith that we might receive during Advent. The role of Mary, the Mother of our Lord,
exemplifies this Christian attitude and tendency to appreciate. We know that in the early
Church, the totality of Mary's position in God's plan of redemptive history was gradually
revealed through faith. As the Mother of our Lord, Scripture recalls her participation in
God's plan of redemption from the beginning. The infancy of Christ is recorded in
Matthew's Gospel's first two chapters, but what's most fascinating is that Mary is just
named and says no words.

2. Elaborate how the 'fiat' of Mary illustrates for us the idea of a 'good life'?
- The word "fiat" was spoken by Mary in response to the angel's news that she will become
God's mother. It also has a deeper connotation, as it represents Jesus' unwavering
devotion towards the Father in Heaven. Living in spiritual connection with the angels and
saints in heaven, partaking in a faith concord founded on loyal testimony to Jesus Christ,
is what it means to fiat. The movement is discretional with a spiritual philosophy that
connects Mary and the Holy Spirit. It views evangelism to be a natural element of one's
spiritual development. There are no rules, commitments, or dues, and everyone is free to
engage in whichever way they like. However, it is critical that we, like Mary, kneel
before the Holy Spirit in humble search of transfiguration.

3. What is 'theotokos'? How is our knowledge of Mary Christological?

- The word Theotokos means God-bearer or Mother of God. It is argued that Mary can’t be
called the mother of God since it makes God a contingent being. It is true to say that
Mary is not the mother of the divine nature of Jesus, however, she is the mother of Jesus
who has two nature which is divine and human, two of which can come together without
mixing or confusion, using that logic, that is the reason why Mary should be called the
mother of God. Mary's purpose is to continuously attract our attention to Christ, not to
herself. What the Catholic religion thinks about Mary is founded on its beliefs about
Christ, as well as what it preaches concerning Mary, in turn, illuminates its trust in Christ.

4. What does God want of us, human beings, through Mary?

- We could wonder why God would want us to establish a connection with Mary if it
would divert our attention away from him. Mary didn’t exist to divert our attention away
from God; rather, she is meant to direct us to him. We believe that God intended for us to
have a connection with Mary since Jesus' final statements are recorded in John's Gospel.

5. What is the Immaculate Conception? How is Mary the 'New Eve'?

- From the time of their conception, God had created Adam and Eve. Similarly, the
Almighty God who desired to accomplish something new for humanity demonstrated His
might, wisdom, and goodness by conferring entire sinlessness upon Mary from
conception, just as He did the First Eve. Because Mary is an essential aspect of God's
new creation of mankind with Christ, he decided to do so. This "unique gift and
privilege" was bestowed upon Mary as a result of the virtues of her Son, Jesus Christ.
Mary was redeemed from the time of her conception by the New Adam, who constituted
her the New Eve in this new process of creation. It's also worth noting that Saint
Augustine preached about Mary's sinlessness many years before. "We must except the
Holy Virgin Mary, concerning whom I wish to raise no question when it comes to the
subject of sins, out of honour to the Lord," he admitted, "for from him we know what
abundance of grace for overcoming sin in every particular was conferred upon her who
had the merit to conceive and bear him who undoubtedly had no sin."
