The Reason Rainy Weather Trumps All

If you were to ask me what my favorite weather was of all time, I would undoubtedly say
rainy. Now, I know that's not everyone’s cup of tea. They probably can list many reasons why
other types of weather are better. However, nothing can beat the eight reasons I have for why the
rainy weather trumps all.
Number one, the relaxing ambiance it gives. There’s just something so calming about the
sound of raindrops falling on the roof, the ground, or against the window. It creates a peaceful
atmosphere that can help one unwind and destress after a long day. After all, rain is like nature’s
lullaby. Rain is a natural form of white noise that helps drown out other distractions and allows
you to focus on the present moment. It’s used to help with sleeping and mediation, it brings
cooler temperatures and increased humidity which makes the environment more comfortable to
sleep in.
Number two, cozy indoor activities. Rainy weather is the perfect excuse to stay indoors
and indulge in cozy activities. One can curl up with a good book, watch a favorite movie or TV
show, drink hot chocolate, or even have a board game night with friends or family. Nothing beats
making hot soup and baking cookies with the family when it’s raining outside. When I think of
good times as a kid, I immediately think of all the times my family or friends sang karaoke,
gossiped, listened to Christmas music, watched our favorite comfort movies while it was rainy
outside.
Number three, romantic vibes. Rain has a way of adding a touch of romance to the air.
We’ve all seen the pouring rain scenes when the guy kisses the girl in the little romcoms and
wanted that to be us. But imagine, walking hand in hand with our loved one under an umbrella,
or dancing in the rain and laughing with them, or even enjoying a candlelit dinner while listening
to the calming rain outside. It’s like a scene straight out of a movie, rain allows you to have your
main character moment and most importantly a core memory with the one you love most of all.
Number four, rain refreshes nature. If you are a nature gal like myself and think it’s
important that nature maintains its health. Then I love to inform you that rainfall nourishes the
earth and brings new life to plants and flowers. The vibrant colors that emerge after a good rain
shower can be truly breathtaking. Not only that but it replenishes rivers, lakes, and other bodies
of water providing habitats for aquatic life. Rain also helps to cleanse the air by washing away
dust and pollutants, making it feel fresher and cleaner outside. Living in L.A, the heat can be a
bit much but when the rain comes it cools down the temperature providing relief from the heat
making it a great time to walk in nature and enjoy the beauty around you.
Number five, rain gives us a productivity boost. Some people, like myself, find rainy
weather to be the perfect backdrop for getting work done. As I write this, I am sitting in a coffee

shop by the window listening to the rain hit the window pane. This cozy atmosphere and the
sound of rain increase productivity. So my advice to you is if you have a project or a task to
tackle at hand, rainy weather might just be your secret weapon to finishing it.
Number six, rain brings comfort. Rainy days call for delicious comfort food and favorite
comfort movies with our special comfort blanket. Whether it’s a warm bowl of soup, a hearty
stew, freshly baked cookies, a romcom, a comedy, or an animation, there is nothing quite like
enjoying a tasty treat and watching a movie while listening to the rain outside. Everything feels,
tastes, and sounds better than when the rainy clouds cover the sky and fill the air with rain.
Number seven, quality “me” time. Rainy weather encourages us to slow down and take
some time for ourselves. It’s a great opportunity to practice self-care, whether it’s through
meditation, journaling, or simply taking a long relaxing bubble bath. Embrace the rain as a
chance to recharge and focus on your well-being.
Lastly, number eight beautiful rainbows. Let me say that one more time BEAUTIFUL
RAINBOWS. After the rain clears, there's a chance of spotting a magnificent rainbow in the sky.
Raise your hand, if you’ve even seen a double rainbow, do you remember how excited and happy
you were to ever witness one. I reckoned you probably took your camera out to take a picture of
it. Rainbows are a symbol of hope and positivity. Have you ever heard the saying, if you want
the rainbow you have to deal with a little rain. Although I've discussed the good feeling rain
gives us, there are other perspectives that individuals have that make the rain unbearable. But
one thing is for certain, when people see a rainbow, they light up like the fourth of july.
Those are my eight reasons for why rainy weather is the top weather for all the weather.
