ABSTRACT

The primary objective of this mini project is to design and develop a dynamic website that serves as an
informative platform for COVID-19. This website will be constructed using a combination of technologies,
including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, while employing a MySQL database for efficient data storage
and retrieval.
One of the key features of this website is its ability to provide up-to-date information and resources related
to the COVID-19 pandemic. Users will have access to a wealth of information on the virus, its transmission,
prevention measures, vaccination details, and real-time statistics, among other critical data.
Furthermore, the website will offer users the opportunity to create and manage user accounts, facilitating a
personalized experience. Through registration forms, users can create profiles and log in to access additional
features and services. These profiles will allow users to customize their interactions with the platform, such
as subscribing to updates, commenting on articles, and participating in community discussions. A vital aspect
of this mini project involves ensuring the quality and reliability of the website. To achieve this, the team will
employ software testing and quality assurance practices, including the formulation and execution of regular
expression test cases. These test cases will validate the correctness of user-provided data and website
functionality, safeguarding the integrity of information and user experiences.

In summary, the primary goal of this mini project is to develop an all-encompassing dynamic website,
utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with MySQL as the underlying database system. This website
will serve as an essential resource for COVID-19 information, with an emphasis on user account
management, comment posting, and registration form details. The implementation of regular expression test
cases for quality assurance will further ensure the reliability and accuracy of the website.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

The COVID-19 pandemic, an unparalleled global health crisis, has reshaped our daily lives and
highlighted the need for reliable and up-to-date information. In a world characterized by uncertainty,
the demand for a trustworthy source of data, guidance, and community engagement has reached
unprecedented levels. This mini project is a response to this pressing need, focusing on the creation of
a dynamic website dedicated to offering comprehensive COVID-19 information. Emphasizing the
integration of software testing and quality assurance as integral components, our goal is to deliver a
dual-faceted solution.
The first facet of our project centers around building an interactive and information-rich online
platform, designed to be a valuable resource for individuals navigating the complexities of the COVID-
19 pandemic. Leveraging a variety of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, and PHP, we aim to create a user-friendly interface that caters to the diverse informational
needs of a global audience. This website is envisioned as a knowledge repository, providing in-depth
insights into the virus, transmission modes, effective prevention strategies, vaccination updates, and
real-time statistics. Concurrently, we are committed to not only delivering accurate information but
also presenting it in an engaging and comprehensible manner. The second facet of our project focuses
on enhancing user engagement and interaction, with features that enable users to create and manage
accounts on the website. These user profiles will empower individuals to subscribe to updates,
participate in discussions, comment on articles, and contribute to the collective understanding of the
pandemic. In addition to content and user interaction, ensuring the reliability and integrity of data and
services is paramount. Software testing and quality assurance methodologies, including regular
expression test cases, are employed to rigorously validate user- submitted data and ensure seamless
functionality. This mini project aims to create a dynamic and comprehensive COVID-19 information
website, emphasizing technology and quality assurance as essential elements in delivering a reliable,
secure, and user-centric online resource during times of crisis. It not only equips the public with the
knowledge needed to navigate these turbulent times but also exemplifies the importance of digital
innovation in responding to global challenges.

CHAPTER 3: KEY APPLICATION OF THE PROJECT

Some of the key applications of projects are:

• Public Information Hub:

The project's primary application is serving as a trusted and reliable public information hub for
COVID-19. It functions as a central repository for up-to-date information, encompassing details on
symptoms, prevention measures, vaccination availability, and real-time statistics. This application is
paramount in keeping the general public informed and educated about the ongoing pandemic.

• User Account Management:

The user account management feature extends a personalized and engaging dimension to the project.
It enables users to create profiles, which, in turn, grants access to a suite of valuable features. Users
can customize their experience, subscribe to updates, post comments on articles, and actively
participate in discussions. This application enhances user engagement and fosters a sense of
community among individuals interested in health-related topics.

• Community Engagement:

Beyond being an information source, the project's ability to foster community engagement is a vital
application. It offers a space for users to share their experiences, insights, and information. Users can
engage in discussions, share knowledge, and collaboratively contribute to a deeper understanding of
COVID-19-related matters. This application not only informs but also builds a sense of unity among
the platform's users.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:

As the project accumulates data over time, an important application emerges in the form of data
analysis and reporting. This application is particularly valuable for health authorities, researchers, and
policymakers. The data can be harnessed for in-depth analysis, which can, in turn, provide insights
into the trends and impacts of the pandemic. Visualizations, charts, and detailed reports can offer a
comprehensive understanding of the evolving situation.

CHAPTER 4: METHODOLOGY AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

In this project, we use PHP and MySQL database. It has three modules
• Admin
• User(Patients)
Admin Module:
Admin is the superuser of the website who can manage everything on the website. Admin can log in
through the login page
• Dashboard: In this section, the admin can see all detail in brief like the total, assigned and the sample
collected and completed tests.
• Phlebotomist: In this section, the admin can manage Phlebotomist (add, update, delete).
• Testing: In this section, the admin can manage all the tests like assign the test to Phlebotomist and
update the history.
• Report: In this section, the admin can generate two types of report. One is between dates reports and
another one is by search. Admin can search the report by order number, name and mobile number.
• Notification: In this section, the admin will get a notification for every new test request
(notification bell).
• Admin can also update his profile, change the password and recover the password.
User(Patient) Module:
• User can visit the application through a URL.
• Testing: This section divided into two parts. One is for new user and another one is for registered
user. New user(First-time user) needs to provide personal and testing Information. A registered user
only needs to provide test information, their personal information will be fetched from the database.
• Report: In this section, Users can search their test report using order number, name and registered
mobile number.
• Dashboard: In this section, the User can see the in which State of how many tests are done.
