History of people in the Philippines

We Filipinos value our family. We have what we call "close family ties" that is very evident until today
which shows how much we value our family. This close family ties thing can also be seen in our very own
entertainment be it in movies, television shows, or even in our music. Families are our moulding entities
that have greatly influenced maybe the way we behave and the way we see things. It just goes to say
that we Filipinos are very family-oriented people. One very good example of this are the OFW's that
work hard abroad to earn money for their family staying in the Philippines. This means that although
they are miles away, they still think of their families, they are driven. inspired and motivated to finish
their work and support what they have left in their birth country. We value our family, that's what
makes us unique. That's what makes us Filipinos.

We Filipinos have a very unique type of culture. We have deep-rooted values that can be seen in the
way we live our lives These values have been passed on to different generations that are still practiced
throughout the archipelago Philippines, an archipelagic country within Southeast Asia, as we know it, is
very rich in historical and cultural heritage. Wherever you go, you can always find something interesting
to learn and know about This country, as we can observe. consists of different and various traditions and
cultures that is due to the different influences of the different colonizers that happened to occur. That
even our language has a mix or is derived from foreign words. All having unique stories of places, things,
personas, and events that connect us to the past, even before the Spanish, Japanese, and American
colonization, up to President Marcos.

The history of the country revolves around Immigration and occupation. It is influenced by most of the
people they have interacted with. there is a value system that Filipinos or Pinoy as they are affectionally
known that they have held true and dear to their identity and culture. This code is a compilation of
ideologies, moral compass, ethical practices, etiquette, and even personal values that have been carried
or handed down for generations These values, for the most part, are centered on social harmony and a
strong desire to be accepted Words such as Hiya (Dignity!, Pakikisama (companionship) and Utang na
loob (Gratitude) are just the tips of the iceberg' when it comes to their value system. Family, humor
adaptability, faith, ability to survive, and hospitality are among some of the top values that contribute to
the make-up of the Philippine social beliefs and customs
