Fast-talk is the art of distraction and conning targets with a torrent of
words. If the fast-talker succeeds at a skill check, the target does not get a
chance to notice whatever scam the talker attempts. Modifiers are based
on the Intelligence and Wisdom of the target, as shown on Table 2S:

Talking Modifiers. The GM may also introduce modifiers according to
the difficulty or plausibility of what the character is attempting.
Modifiers are cumulative. Targets of Intelligence 3 or less are so dim
that attempts to fast-talk chem fail automatically because they cannot

telling is familiar with numerous devices and methods, such as tarot
cards, palm reading, interpreting the flight of sparrows or the
arrangement of a sacrificed animal's entrails, and so forth. At least, the
thief is familiar enough with these practices to make him appear to be
an authentic soothsayer. (Even if legitimate fortune telling exists, this

When employing his Precision Targeting Proficiency, he
concentrates on segment. 1, shoots on 4, and if he wants to
continue the benefits he needs to concentrate again on
segment 7 to shoot on segment 1 of round 2. Sergeant
Billick, a heavy crossbowman would normally shoot on
segment 1 of round one, with his second shot on segment 1
of round 2, with this proficiency the entirety of round one is
spent drawing a bead on his target, and he shoots his first
shot in round 2. If it seems that slow weapons have
disadvantage, they do more damage, so quit complaining.
Prerequisite: Basic Proficiency in chosen ranged weapon.
