Pru Life UK is committed more than ever to bless many more Filipino
families by raising their level of protection so they can get the most

In 2022, we fulfilled our promise to our customers through ₱1.66


billion of claims proceeds. ₱1.14 billion were for the grieving families
of insured individuals who have passed on. ₱441 million were for
customers who are in their journey to recovery from a critical illness.
₱73.2 were for those who got hospitalized, injured, or disabled.

In writing, these may be just numbers. But in our hearts, these are the
lives of individuals and families we fervently hope to have blessed.

I have been insured by Pru Life UK since 2013. I come from a poor family and saw people borrowing money when they got
sick, and people who relied on their children to take care of them. I told my husband that I don’t want our kids to worry
about us when we grow older.

I knew I made the right decision when I was diagnosed with breast cancer on Valentine’s Day in 2022. Strangely, I didn’t
worry and continued with my work here in Dubai. My biggest concern was my kids seeing me sick.

My friend and agent, Peach, helped me process my claim. It was so fast. I didn’t need to follow up because not long after
I gave all my documents, the claim was already in my account.

When the doctors found I had a tumor and gastric cancer in 2022, I had to undergo chemotherapy, port-a-cath surgery, and
daily radiation for 28 days. All these were expensive. We are not well-off. I had a thrift shop and was an Avon lady, but I had to
stop both because of the pandemic.

Thanks to Pru Life UK, I was able to afford treatment without going into debt. I am grateful that my sister Maria, who is a
