Enhancements to Entity Configuration

We’ve added Entity Configuration in the new SAP SuccessFactors Learning Administration
user interface to provide parity with the legacy Adobe Flash version.
This enhancement improves user experience and aligns with the look and feel of the new SAP
SuccessFactors Learning Administration user interface.

Note:
We've released the Enhancements to Entity Configuration functionality in a patch
for 1H 2020.

What's Changed
● Previously, the legacy user interface allowed a user to personalize the fields they see
unless an administrator had locked the field using the legacy user interface lock
functionality under the Record tab.
In the current version, personalized views are not supported and the Record tab is
removed and the lock functionality isn't available.
● Previously, Time Zone wasn't displayed as a section name for the Class entity.
In the current version, the Time Zone category is a section name for the Class entity.

Note:
Changes made to Entity Configuration in the legacy Adobe Flash version
don’t carry over to the new SAP SuccessFactors Learning Administration user
interface. Similarly, changes made in the new SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Administration user interface don’t carry over to the legacy Adobe Flash version.
However, with the release of this feature, the entity configuration in the new SAP
SuccessFactors Learning Administration user interface is initially set based on the
legacy Adobe Flash settings at the time of the release deployment.

New Search Functionality

A new search functionality on multiple pages has been added in SAP SuccessFactors
Learning.
A new search bar is available in the following places, where you can search related Learning
entities by using their titles and IDs:
● Assigned Items for Users
● Completed Items for Users
● Assignment Profiles for Curricula
● Registrations for Classes
● Items for Libraries
● Assignment Profiles for Items

This functionality improves your experience with tabular data by helping you filter records and
provides you with instant results.

The New search functionality was released in a patch for 1H 2020.

 Recents in Learning Administration
The Recents feature has been added to the new Learning Administration user interface in a
patch. From the Recents tab, administrators can directly access their recently viewed entities
and can search the list for specific entities.
The Recents tab displays the last 100 instances where the administrator accessed one of the
following entity types:
● Assignment Profile
● Class
● Content Object *
● Content Package *
● Coupon
● Curriculum
● Curriculum Requirement *
● Exam
● Free-of-charge subscription
● Item
● Library
● Prepaid Account
● Program
● Quiz
● User

Note:
Entities marked with an asterisk (*) are newly supported for the Recents feature in
the new Learning Administration user interface. These entities weren’t supported
in previous versions and aren't enabled in the Adobe Flash version.

The Recents feature has been added to the new Learning Administration user interface to
provide parity with the legacy Adobe Flash version.

Note:
The Recents feature was released in a patch for 1H 2020.

What's Changed
Previously, administrators needed to have the View Recents permission to access the
Recents feature.

 In the current version, all administrators have access to the Recents feature. Recently viewed
entities that were displayed in the Adobe Flash version display on the Recents tab in the new
Learning Administration user interface.

Allow Changes to Online Content Structure in Learning

Administrators can configure Learning to allow content to be added, removed, or moved
within the online content structure, even if a learner has completed the item.

Note:
The lockItemContentStructure configuration was released in a patch for 1H
2020.

What's Changed
In the previous version, once a learner completed an item, the online content structure was
locked and administrators couldn't add, remove, or move content. These changes to the
online content structure needed to be done as revisions.
In the current version, a new configuration allows administrators to control whether the online
content structure is locked after a learner completes an item. By default, the
lockItemContentStructure value is set to trueand the online content structure is locked
after a learner completes an item (System Administration Configuration System
Configuration LMS_ADMIN). If the lockItemContentStructure value is set to false, a
warning displays but the administrator isn’t prevented from adding, removing, or moving
content within the online content structure after a learner has completed the item.
