4. Your neighbours have a dog that is noisy at night. You can’t sleep. Write a letter to

The decision made was due to personal reasons, as my family and I will be migrating to
Singapore. Recently my husband has been offered a managerial position in a five

I am a regular customer of your insurance company. My new car insurance is little

My name is Rona Lyn Olivar. I am one of your part-time receptionists in your Brighthand

I have encountered in the reception area that you are not aware of.
Firstly, duty staffs at night shift are always inside of the hotel's quarters sleeping. Only I
and Lindsay who is also new in the area are working at night time. Even if we knock them
at their door when there were many guests arrived on Saturday evening, they still did not
mind us. This happens 3 times already and I think you must know it.
Secondly, the food items that are supposed to be cooked for the hotel customers were
eaten by some of the head staffs. One of the breakfast meals that were not eaten by one of
the guests were brought to the staff quarters and ate by the head. I believe this is against
the rule of the company.
I think they should be reprimanded so that they should learn their lesson and I look
forward to your response regarding this matter.

I am writing this letter to complain about the broken down elevator used in building C,
which is a very unpleasant problem of our facilities.
Most of the buildings in our school have 6 to 7 floors, and each is equiped with an
elevator, which is very helpful for thousands of students. However, the one in building C
has been out of work for four months, and there is no evidence that it is going to be fixed.
This is not of a big problem if we do not use it frequently, but since we have several
classes on the 5th or 6th floor per week, it is very tiring and frustrating to climb the stairs
almost everyday. Most importantly, the library is located on the 7th floor, so it is very
discouraging for students to visit library, which may be not good for their studying.
As this problem causes much inconvenience for a large number of students, I would
appreciate it if you could have it repaired or install a new one as soon as possible.

I am writing to complain about the faulty mobile phone that I have purchased from your
store.
On the 8th of July, I bought a brand new Nokia N95 mobile. However, upon one week of
using it, problems started to appear. The flash of the camera is no longer working. Also,
the monitor is getting blurred which makes it difficult for me to see the SMS messages
clearly. I was very surprised to discover such problems in quite an expensive model.
Naturally, I returned the mobile phone in your store to be replaced with a new one. One
of your sales staff members told me that they will send it to me at my home address within
one week. However, two weeks have gone without receiving any replacement. I am very
upset with your poor service.
In this regard, I insist on getting a refund of my full payment if the replacement will not
come within another week.

I am writing to complain about my two-week holiday that I booked with your service. It
was very disappointing.
The first problem was that the flight was delayed for 2 hours, which not only made me
really tired but also ruined our plan. In the schedule, I should have been to Sydney at 6
o’clock, so I could visit the Opera House at 9, however, I arrived at 8p.m and could not
manage for the trip.
Also, your advertisement had said that I would stay in a quiet seaside hotel. However, it
turned out to be on the contrary. It was surrounded with many clubs, making it so noisy
and frustrating for us that we could not rest well at night throughout two weeks.
To make the matter worse, the buffet breakfast served by the hotel’s restaurant were
terrible. There was a limit of choices and the fruits were not fresh.
As we did not receive the good service as advertised, and we were dissatisfied with the
holiday, I would request a refund of 80% the cost of the holiday, or another free trip at
the end of this year to Australia.
