What we know?

Health Issues

Railway station slums face health risks from overcrowding, inadequate sanitation, and limited healthcare, resulting in waterborne diseases

and malnutrition

Safety Hazards

Absence of proper fencing along tracks, making them vulnerable to accidents and injuries.

Limited Access

It restricts their opportunities for proper schooling, hindering their future prospects.

Vulnerability to Evictions

It disrupts the stability of children's lives, leading to educational interruptions, emotional distress, and increased health risks.
What we don't know ?
Impact on Mental Health Challenges can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, depression, and

behavioral issues, significantly impacting their mental health.

Hidden abuse This hidden abuse, which can be physical, emotional, or sexual, has profound and

lasting effects on the mental and emotional well-being of children.

Coping Mechanisms The specific strategies they employ, the long-term effectiveness of these

mechanisms, and the factors that influence their resilience remain complex.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

How might we tackle the issue of socioeconomic

disparities in the disadvantaged area we are given?

Various issues, such as raised accident risks, unnoticed

child abuse, economic hardships, noticeable noise and
vibrations, have impacted sanitation and hygiene,
highlighting societal challenges.
