cb Disassemble/assemble
1 Remove the snap ring (1) from the shift tube
unit by using snap ring pliers
2 Remove shift finger (2), interlock bar (3) and
narrow spacers (4) and wide spacer (5).
3 Hit the shaft on a wooden plank, holding the
range collar (6).
4 Remove the range collar (6) and the detent i Care has to be taken that the range
balls (7). detent balls are not misplaced
5 Remove the shift tube unit housing cover (8) l Drift 714 589 05 15 00
6 Remove the shift tube unit front housing i By using pulling hook l (10) and
cover oil seal (9) pulling hook (10) and impact extractor (11) l
impact extractor (11)
l Impact extractor 355 589 01 63 00
l Pulling hook 715 589 09 33 00
7 Remove the shift tube unit housing cover (8) i By using special tool drift l (13) and
needle roller bearing (12) using drift (13) hammer
and hammer
l Drift 714 589 05 15 00
8 Assemble in the reverse order
