ISO 9000 is defined as a set of international standards on quality management and

quality assurance developed to help companies effectively document the quality


system elements needed to maintain an efficient quality system. ISO 9000 can help a
company satisfy its customers, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve continual
improvement.

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system (“QMS”). .
The standard is used by organizations to demonstrate their ability to consistently
provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and to
demonstrate continuous improvement.

ISO 9002 standard is a standard that belongs to the family of ISO 9000. It is presented
as a model for Quality assurance in the production, servicing and installation of the
products. It almost includes all the guidelines of the ISO 9001.

ISO 14000 is a set of rules and standards created to help companies reduce industrial
waste and environmental damage. It’s a framework for better environmental impact
management, but it’s not required. Companies can get ISO 14000 certified, but it’s
an optional certification.

ISO 14001:2004 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to


enable an organization to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take
into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization
subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects.

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-


governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality,
safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems
