1.0 Introduction.
KHiND was created when Ping Keat came up with a brand name for the business in
1989. The brand "KHIND" founded by Mr. Cheng King Fa produced their own goods in 1983,
originally the company started in 1961 as a small electrical repair shop with just a table and some
tools that are easy to handle in Sekinchan, Selangor. In 1983, when Kee Hin's company began to
grow, the company established small facilities, such as DC ballasts, cable clips, step-down
adapters, plastic parts, table lamps and other electrical products. From a small shop that only
repaired small electrical appliances, Mr. Cheng, together with his pioneering team built Kee Hin
Industries. And then he and his team created Khind Holdings Berhad.

2.0 KHIND Logos Evolution.

In 1987, "KHIND" utilized a round design with a triangle shape inside it, both shapes
were coloured with a warm color, just a little bit dark from original color of red, normally red is
the most eye-catching color since it is connected with powerful emotional symbols, such as love,
passion, and fury, and so on. They utilized a black sans serif font on the word "TRIANGLE"
because they had not yet invented the term "KHIND" at the time. In order to make the logo
appear more glassy without being affected by the background colors, they choose a single white
background.

In 1982, the "KHIND" brand removed the circle shape from its logo and left only the
triangle shape. But they thickened the line on the triangle shape part and kept its original color
which is the red color used in 1987. They also modified the word "TRIANGLE" to "KEE HIN"
in white followed by a red outline.

The following year 1989, KHIND reinstated the shape of a circle in its logo, but with a
twist: the shape of a circle was placed on the interior of a triangle. The letter "KH," which
represents the Kee Hin corporation, was then placed in a circle, and the word KHIND was
written in red at the bottom of the triangle.

Khind's entire logo was altered to a gray arrow form in 1991, and a red jewel shape was
added to the right side of the arrow. Additionally, they employ sans serif fonts for the word
"KHIND," capitalizing the letters "K, H, N, and D" while using small letters for the letter “i” and
changing the dot to red.

The same design was used in 1995, but the arrow was made smaller and turned to black.
The word "KHiND" was also made larger, and the dot of “i” was painted black to be consistent
with other letters.

In 2004, they continued to utilize the same design, but they increased the size and shape
of the arrow.

Image: 7

Same as the design in 2011, KHiND only made a little alteration to the logo design in
2004 by making the arrow's color black the same color of diamond and the word "KHiND”.

Image: 8

In order to make their logo simple and appropriate for the products they offer, which are
electrical appliances, they erased all the shapes from the side in 2021 and only left the word
"KHIND”.
Conclusion.
In conclusion, the logo made by the KHiND company changes from time to time
according to the times. Their logo becomes more and more simple if you look closely. In my
opinion, the KHiND logo succeeds in adhering to current logo design trends while also suiting
the theme to what they are providing.
