GUIDELINE FOR WRITING NUS 212 CASE STUDY

Instructions

Each student should do two case studies. One for normal pregnancy marked out of 50
and another one for abnormal pregnancy which will be marked out of 75.

Demographic data (2 marks)

History of current pregnancy (2 marks)

Obstetric history (use obstetric table) (2 marks)

 History of obstetrical operations (2 marks)

 Special perinatal (fetal, newborn) complications and events in previous
pregnancies; specify which pregnancy, validate by records (if possible) (2 marks)

Medical history (2 marks)

Perform physical examination (10 marks)

Antenatal profile (5 marks)

Indicate the interventions that were given during the visit (10 marks)

Development of an individual birth plan (5 marks)

Health promotion (7 marks)

Scheduling the next appointment (1 marks)

Write a nursing care plan for inpatients. The care plan should have at least five nursing
diagnoses and one nursing diagnosis should be for medication. (25 marks)
