- Are sufficient previous studies on the chosen topic referred to?
- Are general trends and findings from previous research on the chosen topic
clearly synthesized and illustrated by examples? Are these examples clear or

- Is the presentation sufficiently personal/critical, i.e. has an attempt been
made to integrate the information collected from the literature into a coherent
whole rather than a mere summing up of individual studies, facts, issues,
statements and quotes from the literature?
- Do you have the impression that you have learned something (or enough)
from this mini-lesson?

• Language:
- Has the presentation been delivered in sufficiently accurate and fluent
English?
- Is the English stylistically appropriate to the task and register at hand (i.e.
spoken academic English)?

• Structure & Coherence:


- Is the presentation well-structered, with a clear organisation and division
into sub-sections?
- Is the information presented in a coherent and logical order?
- Is the transition between the different sections and between the different
presenters (if applicable) sufficiently smooth and logical? Is there a more
or less equal division of labour between the presenters?

• Slides:
- Are the slides sufficiently informative, well-structured, with a clear lay-out
and easy to process?
- Do the slides sufficiently complement or support the information provided
orally?
- Is the handout (if any) sufficiently clear and useful?
