Subject: Inquiry and Offering of Program Services for Newcomer Youth

Dear XXX,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Aneta Iliyaev and I am the Youth /
Community Engagement Facilitator at JVS Toronto. Our organization offers a
Newcomer Youth Connections for Success (NYCS) program, a government-funded
initiative aimed at supporting and empowering newcomer youth in our community.

At JVS Toronto, we recognize the challenges faced by young immigrants and refugees
as they acclimate to a new environment, culture, and educational system. This program
is designed to provide comprehensive support, mentorship, and resources to enable
newcomer youth to thrive and achieve their full potential.

Please see the attached flyer for program details. In a nutshell, the program offerings
include but are not limited to:

1. Mentorship and Career Guidance: Our experienced mentors engage with the youth to
offer guidance, mentorship, and career counselling to help them make informed
decisions about their future.
2. Cultural Integration: We organize workshops and activities that celebrate diversity and
promote cross-cultural understanding, fostering a sense of belonging in the new
community.
3. Recreational and Social Activities: We offer various recreational and social activities to
help newcomer youth build connections, boost self-confidence, and enhance their social
skills.

We believe that by combining our strengths and resources, we care create a more
comprehensive and holistic system for young newcomers, equipping them with the skills
and confidence they need to thrive in the Canadian workforce.

If any of your youth members are interested in participating in the NYCS program, I
would be delighted to arrange a meeting at your convenience. Please let me know your
availability and I will gladly coordinate the details.

This program is open to newcomer youth ages 14-18 (Grades 9-12) who have a PR
Card, Conventional Refugee Status, or came to Canada with the Canada-Ukraine
authorization for emergency travel (CUAET) program residing in North York and
York Region.

Sincerely,
