Goals/Objectives

In the future, the personal goals, or objectives that I plan to

pursue can largely be separated into maturing in my professional
nursing experience, expanding upon the knowledge and skills
that I currently possess, and furthering my education to increase
the nursing opportunities that I can follow and achieve.

Mature in professional nursing experience.

 Pursue and acquire a 1:1 nursing position that will utilize as

well as enhance my current nursing knowledge and skills,
such as private home health and/or student nursing.
 Acquire a career that will enhance or build upon my nursing
skills; for example, increase my competency in such skills as
managing and providing tracheostomy care, and management
of mechanical ventilation.
Continue my nursing education career to expand my future
nursing opportunities.

 Following further professional nursing experience (3-4 years),

I plan to continue my nursing education, either acquiring a
certification in a specific field of nursing such as forensic
nurse examining, and/or eventually my Master of Science in
Nursing (MSN).
Continue to learn about and explore more nursing professions .

 A major benefit of nursing is that there are many specialties

for one to explore to see what they truly enjoy. Therefore,
after more nursing experience and education, I plan to
continue advancing my knowledge about the many different
 nursing specialties, particularly forensic nursing as I have
always wanted to learn more about this field of practice and
pursue it following more nursing experience.
