Telesoro Sungkit Jr., writing as Anijun Mudan-an, is an award-


winning Filipino writer. Among his literary works are “Mga Gapnod sa
Kamad-an”,”Mga Tigmo sa Balagbat”,”Ang Agalon sa mga Balod”, and
“Batbat Hi Udan”. His powerful writing has earned him the NCCA
Writers Prize and the National Book Development Board Trust Fund
for Writers award. In addition to his writing achievements, Sungkit has
founded a tutorial school an gave a guest lecture on cultural heritage.
His multifaced talents and dedication to his craft have made a
significant contribution to the Philippine literature.

Lina Sagaral Reyes is a renowned writer with a diverse portfolioof literary works. Her
writings touch upon various themes and topics, shedding light on important social issues.
Through her thought-provoking works, Reyes has made a significant impact on Philippine
literature and has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Planca 1st prize.

Emmanuel Agapito Flores Labaca, known as Eman Lacaba was a


distinguished Filipino writer. He wrote collections of poems such as
“Kuwadro Numero Uno”(1971), which captured the struggles and
aspirations of the Filipino people. Lacaba’s “Mga Tula ng Pag-ibig at
Himagsik”(1972) explored love and revolution. Additionally, he
crafted the satirical superhero comic “Ang Kagiliagilalas na
Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah”under the pen name Carlo
Vergara. Lacaba’s work left a lasting impact on Philippine literature.

Sister Maria Madroñal Abejo, also known as Rosalina Abejo, is a renowned


musician and writer. She wrote "Overture 1081" and received notable literary
awards. Sister Abejo made history as the first nun to conduct symphony
orchestras, authorized by Pope John XXIII. She taught music and composition at
Kansas University and St. Pius Seminary in Kentucky. Additionally, she traveled
extensively to fundraise and participate in international music conferences.

Jose Maria Flores Jr., writing as Pete Lacaba, is a well-known Filipino writer from
Misamis Oriental. His extensive literary works include "Prometheus Unbound",
"Tatsulok", "Rizal sa Dapitan", "Segurista", and more. While specific literary
awards were not mentioned, Lacaba's exceptional writing has earned him
recognition. He has also made notable contributions by reporting on the First
Quarter Storm protests and creatively opposing the Marcos regime through a
hidden message in an acrostic poem. Lacaba's talent and commitment to
