ABSTRACT

With the current paradigm shift in the technological field, there is an urgent need to embrace

and appreciate the power of technology. The building construction sector remains vigilant to

face the challenges of change by employing a new strategy that facilitates easy management of

rental equipment since the construction of buildings takes a large percentage of daily life

activities due to the construction equipment rental industry is grown rapidly every year, with an

increasing number of companies and contractors turning to rental options as a cost-effective

solution for their building and construction projects.

The construction equipment rental system has emerged with a new goody compared to the past

experience where every activity concerning the tools rental business is limited to a physical

location only and also use word of the mouse in searching equipment materials which do not

guarantee with the information provided is true or not true. Hence there is a need to develop a

rental equipment management platform that can simplify work for the rental constructors by

linking to those responsible for renting construction equipment based in local areas to different

placesso that all work can be efficient and effective by searching equipment according to google

maps or GPS of a certain location. Also, information from a customer about the equipment that

is rented should be sent through phone numbers or emails in order to make the process trustable

and advanced the system will provide rates and reviews way between customers and agents or

equipment owners together with the provision of transports that will facilitate the carrying of

equipment to different sites but depend on the customer’s choices and agreements.

The rental equipment system is the best application in today’s city place since customers can

contact and easily search suitable places for renting equipment based on their locations which

will help in saving time and cost as well. Therefore, this system is best applicable for the above

reasons making construction equipment rental an easy process through a computerized system
PROJECT TITLE: E-COMMERCE SYSTEM FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

ABSTRACT

E-commerce has revolutionized the way businesses operate in the modern world. It refers to the
buying and selling of goods and services through the internet. However, while large corporations
have been quick to adopt e-commerce, small business owners (SBO's) have faced numerous
challenges in leveraging its benefits. The high cost of setting up an online store, lack of technical
expertise, and limited access to resources are some of the obstacles that have hindered SBO's
from embracing e-commerce and making them lack behind on the digital revolution.

The lack of a dedicated e-commerce system for small businesses has made it difficult for them to
compete in the digital market. Many SBO's still rely on physical stores and traditional marketing
methods, which limit their customer reach and revenue potential. Moreover, the COVID-19
pandemic has highlighted the urgency of having an online presence especially for SB0's as
businesses were forced to shut down physical stores due to lockdowns and social distancing
measures.

A proposed solution is to develop an e-commerce system specifically tailored to the needs of

small business owners. The system will provide an online marketplace through which SBO's can
showcase their products and services, engage with customers and establish a strong online
presence. To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted to understand the operation of small
businesses and their level of knowledge and adaptation of e-commerce and analyze at what
percentage SBO’s operate their businesses physically versus online. The report summarizes the
results of the survey and identifies the requirements for an e-commerce system for small business
owners.

The e-commerce system is expected to have a significant impact on small businesses, enabling
them to reach more customers, increase their sales, and compete with larger companies. By
providing an affordable and user-friendly platform more SBO's will be encouraged to embrace e-
commerce and take advantage of the opportunities that it offers.
The goal is to bridge the gap that hinders small business owners from leveraging the benefits of
e-commerce by identifying and addressing the challenges they face in order to create an e-
commerce that can serve their needs effectively.

PROJECT TITLE: BI-DIRECTIONAL VISITOR COUNTER

ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design and construction of a digital bi-directional visitor
counter (DBVC). The DBVC is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of counting
number of persons / visitors in the room very accurately and beeps a warning
alarm when the number of visitors exceeds the capacity limit of the
auditorium/hall.
When somebody enters the room then the counter is incremented by one (+1)
and when any one leaves the room then the counter is decremented by one (-1).
The total number of persons inside the room is also displayed on the LCD (Liquid
Crystal Display).
