STRATEGY

Preparing for the CDS exam in three months requires a well-planned study plan that covers all
the topics in the syllabus and allows sufficient time for practice and revision. Here is a 3-month
study plan for the CDS exam:

First Month:

 Week 1: Focus on the basics of Mathematics, start with the fundamentals of Algebra,
Trigonometry, Geometry and Calculus. Practice easy level questions from each topic.

 Week 2: Continue with Mathematics and complete the basic level of each topic. Practice
moderate level questions from each topic.

 Week 3: Start General Knowledge (GK) preparation. Focus on static GK topics such as
History, Geography, Polity, and Economics. Cover important events of the last 6 months.

 Week 4: Continue with GK preparation, focus on current affairs, and important news
from the last 6 months.

Second Month:

 Week 1: Complete Mathematics and start practicing with sample papers and mock tests.
Identify weak areas and work on improving them.

 Week 2: Continue practicing Mathematics, Solve previous years’ papers, and try to
improve your speed and accuracy.

 Week 3: Focus on English Language preparation. Improve grammar and vocabulary by

reading newspapers, books and practicing grammar exercises.

 Week 4: Continue English Language preparation, practice comprehension passages, and

solve previous year papers.

Third Month:

 Week 1: Revise Mathematics and practice mock tests and sample papers. Work on time
management and accuracy.

 Week 2: Revise GK and practice mock tests and sample papers. Focus on current affairs
from the last 3 months.

 Week 3: Revise English Language and practice mock tests and sample papers. Work on
improving speed and accuracy.

 Week 4: Final Revision. Focus on weak areas and practice mock tests and sample papers.

By following this 3-month study plan, you can cover all the topics in the syllabus, practice
enough sample papers and mock tests, and revise thoroughly, which can help you score well in
the CDS exam. Also, remember to stay motivated and focused throughout your preparation.
