I am writing this letter to inquire about the possibility of working at the UK Embassy. I
saw that your company is looking for a translator which you advertised in the 3rd
edition of the weekly national newspaper.

I believe that I meet all the requirements needed by your company. As a fresh
graduate in English literature from the University of Indonesia, I have good skills in
speaking English, especially using a British accent. I have a perfect TOEFL AND IELTS
score. I am very interested in this position, as being a translator has been my dream
for a long time.

My CV has been attached which outlines all my qualifications in detail. I would

appreciate any opportunity to discuss myself and continue the recruitment process
further. I will look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.

3. a. Original Conclusion
This is no doubt an exciting proposition to see machine replace human intelligence,
but to replace human competence in bilingual skills, even with the advent of neural
networks and deep learning, appears quite far. At best, with the use of neural
machine networks, which are evolving by the day, translation work is likely to get
distributed between machines and humans, based on task-specifics.
Revised Conclusion
This is undoubtedly an exciting proposal where the machine would replace human
intelligence, but the replacement of human skills with bilingual skills still seems a long
way off, even with the advent of neural networks and deep learning. In the best case
scenario, translation work will likely be divided between machines and humans
depending on the specifics of the task, using a network of neural machines that evolve
day by day.
