I see value in both the rigorous theory and practical applications of mathematics. If I perform
adequately in my future courses, I wish to do as much research as possible.

Math Major Prerequisite Verification


Courses must be taken for a letter grade to count toward admission to the math major. This requirement is
waived for all classes taken in spring 2020, and an "S" grade will be accepted regardless of the usual
minimum grade requirements.

Minimum grades are: B– for linear algebra and multivariable calculus classes, with the exception of B+
for MATH 2310 or 2130, and C– for computer programming classes. A higher minimum grade may be required
for some external courses.
