Introduction

The aim of this report is to outline the intended courses of actions in order to address the
several issues caused by over tourism in popular destinations in Italy.

Overview
The data and research on tourist’s behaviour leads to an immense concern of the
government to fight against mass tourism. From strolling uncovered on Italian’s streets to
disrespecting the cultural manners of the locals, they also fill their bottles at the fountains
and jump into canals for a swim.

Crowds
As far as crowds are concerned, it is undeniable that there are hordes of people interfering in
the everyday lives of locals, polluting the honeypot sites, creating utter confusion, damaging
historical buildings and disrespecting the native inhabitants. Apart from that, there is a
percentage of these visitors that don't bring any financial revenue for the city, creating a
fruitless chaos.

Traffic
As we navigate the topic of traffic, it becomes clear that tourists interfere with the daily
activities of Italians citizens, keeping them from commuting to work or making their way
around the city. This large scale quantity of voyagers is extremely alarming when it comes to
the well being of locals and the maintenance of the city.

Etiquette
In terms of etiquette, it is well known that the vacationers lack etiquette and respect when
visiting the marvels of Italy. Walking without any clothes, sitting on the stairs, laying on the
ground, vandalising properties, disrespecting cultural and religious traditions of the
destination are some of the latest attitudes and patterns observed on the globetrotters.

Recommendations for improvement

In view of these latest matters, it is safe to assume that the soundest course of action would
be to guarantee a safe, amusing journey for the holiday makers, and at the same time
provide a secure and lucrative experience for the locals. Bearing that in mind, we propose
the introduction of bans, controls and fees, as well as an ordinance prohibiting the visitation
of determined areas. Also, we suggest the forbiddance of walking barefoot, in a bikini,
topless or naked. The introduction of an entrance fee for visitors and the implementation of a
strict regulation of the access to beaches and canals is also recommended.

Conclusion
In conclusion, our aim is not to discourage voyagers from going to the popular Italian
destinations, but to suggest norms of behaviour to establish a healthy relationship between
locals and tourists, causing no alarming or unpleasant circumstances for both.
