Engaging Students
Introduction: Ask students to think about their favorite sweet treat for a minute, once everyone has their Time:2

Procedures
Direct Instruction: We will start with vocabulary of all three graphs and then go into how each of the graphs Time: 5

Students will participate in an activity where we gather data on colors and graph the data. Students will label
graphs on their own. After graphing the data, we will figure out the color that was liked the most, the least
and the total amount votes collected.

Students will take home a worksheet about bar graphs and answer questions about the information on the
bar graphs.

Teacher will explain how to do the worksheet and work the first question on both bar graphs together.
