The story is told by the main character: Little Jane Eyre, orphaned at a young age, was

brought up by her uncle. When he died, Jane had to live with her bitter aunt, Sarah Reed. This
is a series of humiliating days for Jane: She is abused, rejected by her landlord and servants,
and is the object of teasing of Sarah Reed's naughty children. In that family, Jane was not
allowed to read, play, always could be beaten, locked in a dark room, left hungry and thirsty.
When Jane was 10 years old, Mrs. Reed sent Jane to the Lowood Orphanage. Like thousands
of other orphanages across England, Lowood educates children in an ascetic way to "torture
the body to preserve the soul". Jane and her friends have to live in strict conditions: Eating
badly, only eating porridge, rotten potatoes, stinking fat, "even if you are dying of hunger,
you will get sick", plus insufficient clothes. During the warm weather, epidemics raged,
students often endured cruel punishments such as beatings, humiliation... But from a young
age, the spirit of resistance and a sense of independence soon arose in the soul of poetry of
Jane.
After eight years, leaving Lowood, Jane applied for a job at Thornfield Castle. Mr. Rochester,
the owner of the castle fell in love with the young tutor;
He also reciprocated with a passionate love. The two married but failed: The wife that
Rochester was forced to marry according to the family's calculations, crazy for many years, is
still alive. Not wanting to be her boss's illegal mistress, Jane flees from Thornfield
heartbroken.
After 3 days of wandering on the road, lonely and hungry, she reached the Marsh End, and
the pastors of St. John saves and finds work. Thanks to the luck of fate, Jane suddenly
became rich and found relatives. Then, St.John proposed to her and wanted to go with her to
India, but she refused. But the old love still urges in her heart, she decided to return to
Thornfield to find news of her lover.
At this time, the mad wife of the boss is dead, the line separating the two is no longer there.
And even though he became disabled, Jane still came to him, rebuilding the lost happiness.
