Abstract:
This research article examines the influence of social media
on body image satisfaction among adolescents. A sample of
200 participants aged 13 to 18 completed surveys assessing
their social media usage, body image perceptions, and levels
of body satisfaction. The results indicate a significant
correlation between the frequency of social media use and
body dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the study reveals that
exposure to idealized body images on social media
platforms contributes to negative body image perceptions.
These findings highlight the need for increased awareness
and interventions to promote positive body image among
adolescents in the digital age.
