Now, many disasters happen in the world. The disaster can demage the environment, loss of life and so
on. The example of the disasters are flood, landslides, tsunami, tornado, and another. But, the biggest of
disasters in the world is tsunami that have big wave. Tsunami is Japanese name of Harbor Wave. It is one of the
biggest disaster caused by an underwater earthquake a volcanic eruption or some other massive movement.
Tsunami is monster of sea with several characteristic. In the deep ocean, tsunami has wave –length of
about 200 kilometers (120 mil), the wave speeds about 600 kilometer per hour (500 mph) and tsunami appears
as a rapidly rising with a maximum height of up 30 meters. But in the deep sea, tsunami just has wave-length
about 100 kilometers (330 ft), about the speeds, the wave speeds about 90 kilometers per hour, and tsunami’s
height can be only 1 or 2 meters tall.
Tsunami is part of huge waves. The beginning of the tsunami is as tsunami approaches the coast and
water become shallow, and makes small waves, it slows and tsunami may take minutes to reach full height. The
waves may grow to be many meters height and have a strong of energy. Finally, when the waves reaches the
coast, a tsunami appears as rapidly rising.
Tsunami is big wave that is very danger, if tsunami happens, it is capable of crushing homes and other
buildings. Tsunami can make many victims sure. While tsunami is difficult to detected. So we must be careful.
