Love to others.

(sermon)

- Brotherly Love | 1 Peter 1:22-25

The Bible verse mentioned in this sermon talks about purifying our souls, and
loving our kind sincerely from a pure heart. Us, HUMANS need to do that. Not just to our
family and friends. But to everyone, every living human. Not just the people we know like
family, friends, teachers, workers, classmates but even to a stranger. We are ONE, and
must take care and love each other.

- We should figure out why we do hateful actions

Often, we do things that can make people hurt. Sometimes our words and actions
can hurt an individual more than we can imagine, and if we want to stop hurting others.
A good way to do and to stop that, is that we need to figure out firstly why we do the
things that we do to others, and then fix it. If we truly love someone, we shouldnt hurt
them.

- Helping others
Take this as an example. A Pastor had buttoned his shirts wrong, but at that time
he was sharing the word of God. What would you do? Would you help him? For me, I
definitely would. Us humans need to help each other, but in a smart way. By that I
mean, we cant for example yell “YOUR SHIRT IS BUTTONED WRONG” right? It wouldnt
just be embarrassing for the person yelling it, but itd be embarrassing for the pastor
aswell. So, its better to wait or say to him silently that his shirt is buttoned wrongly after
the sermon. Doing this would be a good way to show respect, kindness, wisethinking and
love.

- Compassion is good but needs sacrifice

An example of histories grates sacrifice is our Lord and Brother, Jesus Christ. He
died for us, for us non deserving human beings. All to His mercy, we are we are enabled
to live lives of compassion and mercy. Not only can we see sacrifices in the Bible, but in
our daily lives too. Surely, someone has made a sacrifice for you, and you have done
too. Because, Jesus loved us, and the person that sacrifices you loves you too.

Conclusion:
There are many ways to love someone, and our amazing teacher, Mr Christian has
explained we can love someone by brotherly love, stopping bad actions, helping others,
sacrifices, and a lot more. So, why dont we start today and love people even more!
Reflection

1. What are the conditions which may cause me to perform harmful & hateful actions?
(Answer this according to your own context, at least 3 sentences)
So, to be honest I used to be really controlling and selfish over people, but now im less of
that. I dont really know how and why I was like that. But I think it was just natural to me, and I wasnt
aware. I lost a few friends because of that, and many got hurt because of that. Me being too
dominant plagues people to get hurt sometimes.
2. What should I do to avoid or at least minimize the risk of having those conditions?
(Answer this according to your own context, at least 3 sentences)
At the moment, I think I have made some improvements. I have gotten some of my friends
back, thankfully! How you ask? I stopped being the bitter and controlling me. I became more aware
and started paying attention on when I was being selfish and controlling. That, has gotten me to the
place I am right now, a much better place than where I was a few months back.
3. Arrange a prayer that match your conditions. (Answer this according to your own context,
at least 3 sentences)
Starting now, I will pray every morning and night and it will include something like.
“ God, thank you for guiding me out of one of my worst personality traits. I know that through your
grace and help you have helped me get out of that place. So now, help me. Help me to maintain it,
give me your wisdom to do that!”
