1. What is the connection of understanding the philosophy to have a

wider knowledge in Values Education.

Answer:
Philosophy is not just a type or branch of education but also a studies
that deals with varied sections, definitions and further studies. As we deal with
understanding the philosophy, we broaden the knowledge within ourselves as
well as building connections with other branches such as Values, Religious,
Psychosocial and Social studies. Furthermore, it is all about human's mind,
values, beliefs, and how they apply it in different practices in life.
Understanding the fundamentals and nature of philosophy makes the existing
knowledge about values education in us more complex and profound.

Education said to be the practical side or application of philosophy,

which is the concept or plan side. Philosophy identifies the purpose of life and
via analysis, establishes some guidelines for pursuing those purposes. It helps
educators develop their values, assumptions and arguments. A comprehensive
perspective is developed through philosophy, and it also aids in addressing
questions such as why schools exist, which subjects are crucial, how students
should be taught, and the best resources and teaching techniques.
Additionally, it contributes to our reflection on the moral and ethical
ramifications of educating students as well as the use of technology in the
classroom. Teachers can discover important information about their vocation
and the learning of their learners by knowing the philosophy of education.
Somehow, it encourages students to challenge everything they are taught in
order to develop critical thinking skills. Students are urged to form their own
opinions and think critically. This is a useful talent, especially in a society
where separating fact from fiction is getting more and more challenging.

The value of educational philosophy must be stressed more than before

especially in our contemporary era where most teachers and teachers to be
have been made that teaching is primarily a matter of acquiring technical skills
and competency. However, is to be meaningful in human terms, knowledge of
the subject-matter and competency in teaching skills though necessary are not
sufficient. An insight into the whole of teaching is required. The students need
also to know what they are doing and why they are going it. More importantly,
they need to know what education is all about, its deeper meaning and
significance for the man of today and for the society at large. Practical
experience and scientific know-how are indispensable for the proper
management of educational enterprise, in the classroom, in the school, at the
national level, but if educational is to be meaningful in human terms the
education experience and educational science must be integrated with
philosophical thinking about education.

To sum up, philosophy offers a systematic approach to questioning,

examining and understanding fundamental aspects of human existence,
ethics, and values. It encourages individuals to delve into complex inquiries
about right and wrong, the nature of good, and the essence of human virtues.
By engaging with philosophical ideas, individuals can develop a deeper
appreciation for the diversity of perspectives that shape our understanding
of values. When applied to Values Education, it allows learners to explore the
underlying reasons and justifications behind different value systems. It
encourages them to question assumptions, consider alternative viewpoints,
and engage in meaningful dialogue. This process fosters critical thinking and
the ability to make informed decisions based on a comprehensive analysis of
ethical dilemmas.
