INTRODUCTION
Cloud computing has emerged as a multi-service provider that
shares data, software, and open resources Internet-based
environment because of the well developed internet technology and
the demands for applications in computer .
Due to collaborative project between I.B.M. and Google he general
public began having access to cloud computing and . And after
this
, in a wide range of disciplines related to information technology
(IT), this radical idea had a wide range of effects and
modifications. This article aims to fully explains what cloud
computing is and the advantages and disadvantages of the cloud
computing.
MEANING OF CLOUD COMPUTING
A network or the internet is mainly known as a cloud. This
cloud computing is a system that substitutes remote internet
servers for local hard drives while storing, managing, and
accessing data online. The type of data can include files, photos,
documents, music, and video.
As this cloud computing is still in its exploratory stage, it has been
described from several angles. It has been put out by the The
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) that a
fundamental cloud computing notion which is widely recognised by
the general public. The sharing of numerous computer assets as a
service to different clients are enabled by a cloud computing
paradigm ,this defines cloud computing in general. In this
arrangement, clients can drastically reduce or adjust their service
requirements for free.

Cloud computing refers to the practice of using remote servers,

typically hosted on the internet, to store, manage, and process
data, rather than relying on local servers or personal computers. It
allows individuals and organizations to access computing
resources, such as servers, storage, databases, software, and
applications, over the internet on a pay-as-you-go basis.
There are several key characteristics of cloud computing:
On-Demand Self-Service: Users can provision and configure
resources, such as computing power or storage, without needing
human interaction from the service provider.
Broad Network Access: Cloud services are accessible over the
internet via various devices like computers, laptops, tablets, or
smartphones.
Resource Pooling: Cloud providers consolidate and share
computing resources to serve multiple users, ensuring efficiency
and cost-effectiveness.
Rapid Elasticity: Cloud services can scale up or down quickly
based on demand, allowing users to easily adjust their resource
usage and avoid underutilization or resource shortages.
Measured Service: Cloud providers monitor resource usage and
provide transparency through metering, enabling users to pay
only for the resources they consume.
Cloud computing offers numerous benefits, including:
Cost Savings: Users can avoid upfront infrastructure costs and
only pay for the resources they need, reducing capital
expenditures.
Scalability: Cloud services can quickly scale up or down,
accommodating fluctuating workloads and enabling businesses to
respond to changing demands.
Flexibility and Mobility: Cloud services are accessible from
anywhere with an internet connection, allowing users to work
remotely and access data and applications from various devices.
Reliability and Availability: Cloud providers typically offer
robust infrastructure and redundancy measures, ensuring high
availability and minimizing downtime.
Security: Cloud providers often implement stringent security
measures to protect data and offer advanced encryption, access
controls, and regular backups.
Examples of cloud computing services include Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a
Service (SaaS). Popular cloud providers include Amazon Web
Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
(GCP).
Overall, cloud computing has revolutionized the IT industry by
providing flexible and cost-effective solutions for individuals and
businesses to store, process, and access data and applications.
Development tools. Examples worth mentioning are Google App
Engine, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and Windows Azure.
Infrastructure-as-a-Service
The IaaS provides the consumers to access the fundamental
components of the computer infrastructure, such as hardware,
servers, and data storage and all in the cloud. Without the
requirement for substantial onsite physical infrastructures, this
cloud enables the organizations to access massive platforms and
applications. Digital Ocean, Amazon EC2, and Google Compute
Engine are notable IaaS examples.

CLOUD COMPUTING DISADVANTAGES

1) These cloud computing requires internet connection to access all the
stored data.so if there is no proper internet connection we are not able to
access the data that are stored in the cloud
2) The biggest disadvantage or the drawback of the cloud computing
is the vendor lock in.
3) The cloud user only has a limited control over the function and
execution of the services as this is completely owned by managed and
monitored by the service provider
These are some detailed disadvantages other disadvantages can be data
loss ,data theft ,data leakage ,account or service hijacking etc.

CLOUD COMPUTING ADVANTAGES

1) When the cloud store the data these data can be easily backup and it
can
be restored using the cloud.
2) All the shared information in the cloud can be easily shared as it
as an improved collaboration
3) Information that is stored in the cloud can be easily accessed
anywhere, anytime from the whole world by using an internet connection.
4) Cost of cloud computing reduces both hardware and software
costs 5)All clouds can be easily accessed through mobile
6)A huge amount of data storing capacity is present in the cloud and stores
our important data such as documents images files video etc.
