Overview

The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effects of his or her choices
and actions on student behavior.
The purpose of the final project is to be a culminating document in which you both show the
results of your FBA and BIP as well as discuss other factors that may impact behavior in your
school/setting. The final product will combine each of the 5 parts of this semester-long project
into a well written/organized paper for each of your students.
Please use the Bold headings below to organize your paper.

Sections to Include (Please use as headings)

Part 1: Analysis of the Environment


Part 2: Reinforcer and CBM Results
Part 3: Functional Behavior Assessment
Part 4: Behavior Intervention Plan
Part 5: Evaluation, Reflection, culturally sensitive issues, and Self-Determination
Part 5 components
MTSS Framework: Approximately ½ page in length for each of your students.
In this section of your paper, you need to discuss any intervention(s) your student experiences as
part of your school's problem-solving model (MTSS/PBIS).
Summary of the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA): Approximately 1-2 page(s) in
length.
In this section of your paper, you need to provide a brief narrative describing the results of your
Functional Behavioral Assessment.
Summary of the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP): Approximately 1 page in length.
In this section of your paper, you need to provide a brief narrative describing the intervention(s)
you put into place through your BIP as well as a rationale for its selection (hint: connect this to
the FBA).
Summary of Cultural Issues:
In this section write a well written paragraph summarizing your "Culturally sensitive issues in
behavior management assignment."
Summary of Promoting Self-Determination:
In this section write a well written paragraph summarizing your "Promoting independence, self-
advocacy, and self-determination assignment."
Philosophy of Behavior: Approximately ½ of a page.
In this section of your paper please summarize your philosophy of behavior including any
changes from the beginning of the school year.
Plan to continue improvement: Approximately 1/2 of a page.
In this last section please outline what you might do (short term and/or long term) to continue to
improve your education for students who exhibit behavioral challenges. This could include
Professional readings, Professional Development, collaboration with other district staff, etc.
