GENERAL COMMENTS

1. Although there are lot of optimization algorithm came into the existence, the author should
give the proper significance of the ACO over other algorithms.
2. The quality wise improvement is required for the images incorporated in order to enhance
the trait of thesis.
3. Care must be taken by the author in formulating sentences and aligning thesis, so that the
reader can catch the concept quickly.
4. The presentation of waveforms in the article should be improved to enhance the quality of
article.
5. The author should add the significance and impact of the newly designed ANN model.

DETAILED COMMENTS
CHAPTER 1:

 Values as low as “USD 0.03/kWh” is not as same as that expressed in the previous line

(unit) in Page No 4.

CHAPTER 2

 420C is the typical yearly temperature in Kayathar mentioned in Page No 26. It seems to

be not possible. Justify it.

CHAPTER 3

 There are other algorithms, particularly P-V and I-V curve tracing methods in literature that
provide better tracking performance.
 It is better to show the VPV, IPV and PPV waveforms at least for a single partial shading
conditions for the MPPT algorithm done in this chapter.
 Table of variation irradiation patterns and the global maximum power point should be

provided, with tracking speed, accuracy shall be given.
 Advantages of the ACO with other existing algorithm may be compared to give better
clarity.
 Appendix of the converter and the solar panel parameters shall be provided validity.

CHAPTER 4

 Fig. 4.5 Flowchart of NARX model can be further maximized for visibility.
 Fig. 4.10 Regression plot shows that the network is not well trained. The output is not
fitted precisely with the targets. Justify it.
 The author should explain clearly about the choosing of target MSE.
 Since the author stated “It is concluded that the NARX model with the BR algorithm is a
good choice to predict the daily load consumption,” if it possible, kindly add few point
related to complexity and other aspects if any.

CHAPTER 5

 In Fig 5.6 Load curve with appliances before scheduling some loads are listed in
inappropriate timings like water heater. Justify it
 In Fig 5.3 Block diagram, what is the purpose of utility control center block? Clarify it.
 In Fig 5.6 Load curve with appliances after scheduling have you consider the impact of
environmental factors. How it could be affected the load scheduling?
 It is mentioned that fig. 5.10 shows the waveform with Power from renewable energy
sources need to indicate solar and wind power separately.
 In table 5.7 Power from PV system is dropped suddenly to zero on 17.00 to 18.00
period. Clarify it.
 How the wind system is operated for 102w constantly for 15 hours continues without any
change in power. Justify it.
 In table 5.9 how to calculate the electricity bill under various tariffs. Explain?
