Constructing your leadership story

A leadership story helps communicate how you’ve been proactive in the face of challenge and how you made decisions based on your
values. In this activity, you’ll use the 3Cs framework to come up with your leadership story

Download the tool called ‘Constructing your leadership story template’ and in the first section, write down:
• The challenge- what challenging situation have you previously encountered either in your personal or work life?
• The choice- what did you do about the challenge and what guided your actions?
• The consequence- what was the outcome?
Download and review ‘Rosine’s leadership story’ tool for an example of how you can come up with your own story.

Share this leadership story with your buddy and peers in the study group by describing this challenge, choice and outcome. Ask
them to identify any values from your story and request them to also share their leadership stories. We learn more and grow our
confidence through sharing and feedback from peers!
