Provision of Remote Sensing Services – New Satellite Imageries - RFI

CCED is seeking budgetary proposals to have an insight into market situation and availability of
potential Service Providers for the Provision of New Satellite Imageries.

The scope of work is provided in section 1 of this document. Should you choose to submit a respond,
please forward the information by 15th November 2023.
 Section 1
Scope of Work

1. PURPOSE

1.1. Company intends to engage an established, experienced and competent Service

Provider for the provision of New Satellite Imageries at Block 3 & 4, the unit rate for the
service is per SQKM.

1.2. Satellite imagery is a form of remote sensing technology that captures a digital
depiction of the Earth's surface. On the other hand, DEM (Digital Elevation Model) is a
specialized type of satellite imagery that focuses on providing a digital representation of
the terrain or elevation of the Earth's surface.

1.3. The purpose of this RFI is to seek information and estimated budgetary price .

1.4. The purpose of engaging with a reputed Service Provider with relevant expertise in
provision of New Satellite Imageries.

1.5. Details:

1.5.1. Provide a satellite imagery services, encompassing high-resolution images,

slope maps, and digital surface models.
1.5.2. This service ensures access to the latest high-resolution satellite images,
including slope maps (DEM) and digital surface models.
1.5.3. The contractor may engage with local or global agencies to ensure the
availability of updated satellite imagery and other relevant maps when
needed.
1.5.4. Deliverables:
 Imagery (JPEG or TIF)
 DEM (TIF)

Please be informed that the site location is detailed below:

Blocks 3 and 4 are remote sites located approx. 350 Kilometers southwest of Muscat. There
are established asphalted public highways which reach to within approximately 80
Kilometers of graded gravel packed roads from the north and approximately 15 Kilometers
from the south. Please refer to the location map below.
