Abstract

With the strong and fast growth of the mobile applications

and the web, customers have learned to freely access to all

information about companies and products, offering customers

with a variety of choices from where to find online services

and products in anywhere and anytime. A high level of

convenience on online shopping has become an important

strategic motivating strength for online market in order to

providing a competitive service satisfying and to preserve and

promote the intention of consumer. This study proposes the

adoption of hybrid fish business models that combine

traditional practices with mobile technology to enhance market

linkages, improve supply chain management, and increase

economic opportunities. A mobile application would serve as a

central platform for traders, and consumers, enabling

efficient communication, data sharing, and transaction

facilitation.

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

This chapter presents the background of the study,

project objectives, significance of the study, conceptual

framework, scope and limitation of the study, and definition

of terms.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

There are still numerous fish species that remain

undescribed. Still, Philippines waters are rich with fish

species. The Philippines supplies 70% of the world's marine

tropical fish requirement, comprising 340 known species of

fishes. Marketing of fish involves all the activities in the

flow of fish or fish products from the farmer to the

consumers. The target of marketing is usually to close the

gap between the areas of fish scarcity and abundance with

profit. There are certain characteristics and elements that

are common with the marketing of fish products which demand

peculiar skills for their operation. They include

assemblage, storage, sorting, grading, packaging, labeling,

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
storage and transportation. These operations are carried out

by marketing

agents like producers, fishermen cooperatives societies,

wholesalers, retailers, vendors and consumers who are the

key players in the marketing channels. The challenges in

marketing of fish such as perishability of fish products,

inadequate and poor processing facilities, poor quality fish

products.

Among others could be reduced by observing the basic

marketing principles and factors that influence the buying

and selling, demand and supply of fish products in the

markets.

Invenio is a Fish Application to help the community

inside San Francisco. Invenio is a locator app that you can

handily find the most proximate registered pet shops entire

San Francisco. Invenio is the app that you need to locate

any nearby fishes on your nearby location. We came to know

about the circumstances that most of the people depends on

Local markets and nearby houses in order to buy a pet for

their home. Through Invenio we are planning to digitalize

this process by online marketing. Thus, the individuals can

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
also rely on other persons/shops across San Francisco in

order to buy variety breeds of fish pet. People here could

also be able to come and know about the different price

range for the same breed offered by different shops.

Through Invenio app provide a platform where you can

access your own chosen pet this app will be providing the

contact details of the buyers/sellers. Know that these day

people are more capable of using the social media as a

platform for searching your wants. People nowadays uses

phone daily.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND SYSTEMS

This chapter presents the brief overview of the

evolution of technology, significant impact of the

technology, review of related literature of the study and

the synthesis of the review where former relevant studies

and publications are used to conform to the variables of

the project.

Brief overview of the current evolution of technology

As technology has developed, society has undergone a

significant change prior to its advent. Because of

contemporary technology, life was difficult and daily tasks

took up too much of our time. Technologies play a

significant

role and offer a lot of chances on human life. The access

to education, medicine, industry, transportation, has been

simplified due to modern technology. Due to the convenience

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
and efficiency provided by technology, our lives have

improved significantly.

System, product, and service efficiency is increased

because to technology. It assists in managing contacts and

employee records, maintaining data flow, and tracking and

streamlining operations. In reality, by running operations

more efficiently, the company is able to save costs and

expand quickly. Technology is the solutions that assist

retailers to enhance their operations. So, these advanced

technologies assist retailers in increasing their sales.

Technology is transforming the way we do business.

Industries are entirely going to change the way they offer

their services. The industries are moving away from archaic

techniques and toward modern technology for the majority of

their needs. Technology has become an urgent requirement in

order to keep up with our fast-paced society. So, there are

many industries that have changed a lot because of new

technology, like the retail industry. Technological

advancements have undoubtedly aided in the resolution of

many of the issues associated with running a retail

business. Here are a few examples of how technology has

impacted the retail industry.

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur

Significant Impact of Technology

As retailers pursue more creative and profitable uses

of their physical shopping spaces, consumer facing

Artificial Intelligence (AI) digital humans continue to be

incorporated into frontline retail environments, thereby

rapidly reshaping the nature of service encounters (al,

2020). In particular, the recent emergence of AI

conversational interfaces, such as, for example Singtel's

Stella AI automated customer service agent in 5G retail

stores, has attracted the highest share of worldwide AI

related investment USD4.5 billion in 2019 (IDC, 2019), and

is further fueling the digitalization of the retail

environment. As a result, traditional modes of service

delivery – service by employees – are being substituted by

some retailers in favor of delivery through

technology (Huang and Rust, 2018), as they have the

potential to offer substantial benefits to businesses,

including increased efficiency and lower labor costs.

Alternatively, as in the current research, AI

interfaces are being used by other retailers to enhance the

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
in-store shopping environment by supplementing the efforts

of frontline employees through the delivery of higher

personal

services, and therefore differentiating their stores

compared to their competitors (Larson, 2019). Specifically,

this paper explores consumers' interactions with AI digital

humans as part of the in-store shopping experience, which,

to date, remains underplayed in the extant literature

therefore warranting further attention. In part, this is an

outcome of the limited range of methodological approaches

adopted in existing literature, which tends to privilege

consumers’ perceptions of AI rather than their actual

behavior (Verhulst et al, 2020). This has led to calls for

alternative methodologies to be used to capture and

investigate the complexities and dynamics of CX

(Kuppelwieser and Klaus, 2021).

San Francisco, Agusan del Sur

RELEVANT OF STUDIES

Technological innovation has been a driving force

behind economic growth. New technologies have improved

productivity, efficiency, and automation in various

industries. For instance, the use of advanced machinery and

automation in manufacturing has led to increased production

capacity and reduced costs. The demand for fish and fish

products is now higher than ever. However, several problems

such as nutrient loading or excessive use of resources can

be associated with the intensification of aquaculture

systems. Integrated multi trophic aquaculture systems

(IMTAs) refer to the co-culture of different species

belonging to different trophic levels, and offer a

sustainable approach to aquaculture development. In these

systems, organic and inorganic extractive species will feed

on other species waste or on uneaten feed nutrients, acting

as bioremediations. Additionally, e-commerce and online

platforms have opened up new marketplaces and business

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
opportunities, enabling entrepreneurship and job creation.

Fish production still holds the highest share in world

aquaculture production, attaining 54.1 million tones out of

the total 110.2 million tones registered in 2016. However,

this represents roughly half of the global aquaculture

production, with aquatic plants (mainly seaweeds)

representing 27% of the total production, according to the

latest report on The State of World Fisheries and

Aquaculture.

The manual processes and paper transactions are gradually

Transformed to online versions to help people operate

in a Fully electronic environment. This in turn gives rise to a

new Concept called Electronic Market. An Electronic Market

is an Inter-organizational information system that provides

facilities for buyers and sellers to exchange information

about price and products. The information sharing could be

Done effectively through the internet. The purpose of the

Electronic market is to make people across the world

familiar

With the range of products of their interest. An effective

Electronic market increases the efficiency of the market as

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
It reduces the search cost for the buyer advancements in

information technology, you'll be left behind. In addition

to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, advances

in information technology also help to fuel global commerce.

Things that used to be costly and time-consuming may now be

completed in a matter of days. One person can do a job that

would have required 10 workers in the past. David W, (2001)

The expansion of online business has driven

technological advancements in the Philippines. Businesses

have invested in improving their websites, mobile apps,

and online platforms to enhance the user experience. This

has led to innovations in areas such as website design,

user interface, mobile optimization, and cybersecurity,

benefiting both businesses and consumers. The Internet

based e-business enables buyers and sellers to manage

better their supply chain management system by

establishing electronic linkages, improve communications,

monitor the flow of goods and services in real time,

eliminate paper work, and conduct business electronically.

In addition, it can lower the amount of on-hand inventory

and expand the range of prospective suppliers. Overall,

managing supply chain electronically can reduce

organizational costs, increase operational efficiency,

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
expand market prospects, increase profit margins, and

strengthen the competitive position of the firm in the

long run (Chen & Siems, 2001; Folinas, Manthou, Sigala, &

Vlachopoulou, 2004; Handfield & Nichols, 2002).

Synthesis

The above literatures and studies presented valuable

and concepts that helped the researchers in developing the

system prototype. Upon reading all the studies and

researchers obtained the knowledge and foundation to the

positive direction of the system. The cited literature and

studies above are the important things and reason why we

choose to create this kind of system. To help and organized

the society to locate the nearby fishes that they want. And

to register their own fish store to help people locate and

find the fishes that they want. We believe that our system

will help a lot of people on finding their desired fishes.

There was a time when we were very physically active, but

now we rely on contrivances to most of our work. The

transmutations in our behavioral patterns and adaptations

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur
that are caused by these technological advances could prove

to be the primary driving forces abaft the nest stage of

evolution for our species.

System’s Design

There is a number of different models of paradigms

of software development. An iterative and incremental

approach to software development, Feature-Driven Development.

As the name implies, features are an important aspect of FDD.

A feature is a small, client-valued function expressed in the

forms.

As you see in Figure 3.0, Feature-Driven

Development (FDD) was designed to follow a four-step

development process, built largely around discrete “feature”

projects. That project life-cycle looks like this:

1. Develop an overall android app model;

2. Build a feature android application;

3. Plan a feature android application; and

4. Design by a feature android application.

Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur

The framework has since widespread use particularly in

larger organization.

Figure 3.1 Computer Network

Figure 4.0 Illustrates how the system can be

implemented.

The hardware infrastructure needed for system

implementation includes a computer, server, and mobile phone.

A server can ensure that user records are kept in a

particular place. For important use the records of the users

can be accessed from the server by the administrator. The

server can communicate to other mobile phone used by our user

if they have internet connection and has already signed up in

the system

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter provides a summary, conclusion, and

recommendation for the system's improvement.

Summary

This system was developed for fish lovers and fish

vendors to make things easy for them. Invenio can give

opportunities for them to explore, promote and learn more

about their hobbies and business, give them the opportunity

to compete in other trends nowadays and influence the young

generation about their hobbies.

The study also employed a created to follow the

method of feature-driven development, which development

procedure in five steps, Built centered mostly on distinct

"feature" initiatives. The project's lifespan cycle is as

follows: Develop a general model, build using a list of

features, planning by features, designing by features, and

building by feature.
Southway College of Technology
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur

Conclusions

The proponent aimed to help promote the fish

industry to many people especially the new generation. This

will help many fish hobbyist and to those aspiring one to

explore and see the beauty of different fish species. This

will also be a great help for those small time fish shop

owners to promote their business.

The application was successful in achieving its goals

during the development process. The program can be used by

our users or clients and successfully installed on most

Android phones. The user can create his/her account to

Recommendations

Following are some significant recommendations

based on the findings:

1. Before the application should be downloaded, they must

first have Gmail accounts in order to sign up on the

application.

2. If ever kids that below 18 downloaded the application, it

is advisable for the parents to guide them and educate them

about online platforms like selling and buying.

3. The administrator should have back-up for all the

transactions that are happening on the system.

4. The administrator should always check if the accounts and

all information about the user that log-in in the system

are all valid.
