Extreme WiNG v5.

xx or higher
Note that the Symbol and Motorola Wings were migrated to Extreme WiNG, and were
discontinued
Objective
This tutorial aims to configure WiNG v5.xx or above devices to work with ZooxWifi.
Prerequisites
● Own a WiNG Controller (Extreme)
● Own a WiNG antenna already adopted by the controller
● Owning a ZooxWifi
● fully and already functioning internet access
Some adjustments may be necessary due the client peculiar network settings. if this is the
case, contact the Zoox Homologation Team.
Settings
Step 1 - Access the settings menu

Step 2 - Click on tab Wireless an than click "Add" button at bottom

Step 3 - In this first screen just put the name of your Wireless network in the field "SSID" (And
if you are going to use VLAN, put its ID)
Step 4 - Go to the "Security" tab, leave Wireless authentication open, create a new AAA server
and configure a new Captive Portal:

Step 5 - Leave "Encryption" marked "Open":


Step 6 - When creating the new Captive Portal, leave the settings as below:
Step 7 - In the "Web Page" settings put your URL in the fields:
● Login URL
● Welcome URL
Step 8 - When creating RADIUS policies, in the "RADIUS Authentication" tab click on "ADD"

Step 9 - Add the Radius information provided below:


You will have to perform this step of adding the server twice to have the secondary server
Attention: Clients outside South America must choose “Virginia” Servers, and clients in South
América must choose “Brazil or Virginia” servers. All other must choose the nearest region of
your company
Note that all alterations on Radius servers at controller must be changed at Zoox administrative
portal panel on:
Manage >> Group & Company >> Company >> Edit icon >> Select your region

Step 10 - Make the same settings in RADIUS Accounting now by adding the server and port
1813
You will have to perform this step of adding the server twice to have the secondary server
Step 11 - In the "Settings" tab leave the information as shown in the image below:
Step 12 - In the settings of "Walled Garden" (Whitelist) put the addresses as shown in the
image below:

Step 13 - To finish in the "Accounting" tab within the WLAN configuration, fill in as the image
below:
Em AAA Policy, selecione o servidor que você criou!
Step 14 - Click "OK" and then

Step 15 - Click on Firewall policy under security tab and create a new policy.

Step 16 - Under profiles tab, binds the new firewall policy to the target access point profile.
Click ok and Commit and save.

Configuring ZOOX DASHBOARD


Adding Plans
Go to Menu>Register>Plans>Add
Setting Parameters:
1- Set a name for your new plan, for exemple: “Visitors 10MB”
2- Set a time for your connection, this can be: “Min, Hours or Days”
3- The Download and Upload Speed option only works on Mikrotik routers. If you use a Router,
Controller or Firewall for redirection to the captive portal other than Mikrotik, the QOS must be
configured directly on it.
4- Save Settings

Adding Routers
Go to Menu>Register>Hotspot>Router>Add

Setting Parameters:
1- Give a Router name
2- Select the vendor of your router
3- Add the Mac Address of your Router
For Router Type observe that:
Extreme wings = Symbol
Extreme IQ ou Extreme Cloud = Aerohive

Adding Hotspot
Go to Menu>Register>Hotspot>Hotspot>Add

Setting Parameters:
1- The Name field should be the same name you gave to your WIFI network (SSID)
2- Router; Select the router that you created on previous steps
3- Select the plan that you created on previous steps
4- Save Setings
There it is! Your Extreme is set up and ready to use with ZOOXWIFI!
