Aircraft Procurement, Navy

For construction, procurement, production, modification, and modernization of aircraft, equipment,


including ordnance, spare parts, and accessories therefore; specialized equipment; expansion of
public and private plants, including the land necessary therefore, and such lands and interests
therein, may be acquired, and construction prosecuted thereon prior to approval of title; and
procurement and installation of equipment, appliances, and machine tools in public and private
plants; reserve plant and Government and contractor-owned equipment layaway, $16,477,178,000,
to remain available for obligation until September 30, 2024.

FY 2022 Direct War and Enduring Requirements funding can be separated into the following
categories:
 Direct War Costs ($45,229,000): Direct War costs are those combat or direct combat support
costs that will not continue to be expended once combat operations end at major
contingency locations.
 Enduring Requirements ($8,266,000): Enduring Requirements are enduring in-theater and in-
CONUS costs that will likely remain after combat operations cease, and have previously been
funded in Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).
