Alawi Alawi personal statement

My aspiration for biomedical science and osteopathy came from attending a conference at the
university college of osteopathy. They brought out patients and demonstrated bone relief and
how to accurately identify injuries. I was engaged to what the osteopath was and the way he
was describing the different parts of the musculoskeletal system.
The way how biomedical science interests me is that it focuses on the complexity of the human
body and underpins much of modern medicine. The skills I can gain when doing biomedical
science could be analytical and problem solving skills this would be good for me as I do applied
science and we have to use our analytical and problem solving skills when doing practical's and
our coursework. Another skill that can be useful when doing biomedical science could be my
organisation and time management skills as once again in applied science I have to do my
coursework in a time scale and I will have more coursework on top of that which means my
organisation of my work should be good and those are a couple of skills I will develop more
when doing biomedical science.
This is why I want to pursue further study into biomedical science as most of the things related
to biomedical science is applicable to me.
